  • PURPLE TALLEST!! XD

  • the canadian broadcast channel eh?

I'm pretty sure most of the research was done on wikipedia. It's Canadian Broadcast Corporation.

    seriously.

  • Derrick is a total queer

  • I am from this generation [Dane Cook and South Park :( ] and I find the KITH funnier and more original than anything to date.

  • I LOVE THE KIDS IN THE HALL!!! :D

  • i can't believe that the head crusher became the most famous sketch. i liked it when i was 10 years old but i soon realized that it really pales compared to most of the others.

  • geez, why is there so much background electric guitar and crap with this mojo show?! There's like three background saved by the bell guitars through the whole thing

  • What's really sad to me is that these kids today look at Tim and Eric and think that they provide good sketch comedy and satire. Those 2 don't hold a candle to The Kids In The Hall.

  • No mention of Shadowy Men on Shadowy Planet??? I grade this profile incomplete.

  • @marktube987 no ones cares about their jingle, although it is a hell of a catchy jingle

  • Canadian Broadcast Channel? I guess they mean Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Well done on the research, venerable media outlet O.o

  • Their latest work together was "Death Comes to Town". If you're a fan, check it out!

  • @foujaina It sucked, couldn't get through the first episode. Very disappointing.

  • IDK if anyone has mentioned this but the KITH are doing a show on the IFC channel made in 2010. It's not sketch comedy but rather a small town with quirky characters. I saw for the 1st last weekend.

  • "Many of the sketches were overly bizarre and quirky often to the point where they seemed to make no sense." Excuse me? They always make sense, at least when the punchline is delivered. If they don't make sense to you, Mr. Catatonic, then obviously you're missing something, because the Kids' sketches aren't funny if you can't even understand them. Think about it for a second.

Also, yeah, it's the "Canadian Broadcasting Corporation". Did not do the research.

  • BTW CBC = Canadian Broadcast Corporation not channel.

  • i was sad to hear of how much tension and arguing about the production was involved with the making of Brain Candy. I think I heard that not one of the five was pleased with the outcome. I think it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

  • God, this guy has no idea about anything. CBC is apparently the "Canadian Broadcast Channel". Just in case this guy reads it, it's the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION

  • lmao who cares

  • This guy has a HORRIBLE voice for narration.

  • this guys a douchee

  • The Kids in the Hall are great - this guy sucks, though.

  • How could they leave out Hecubus!

  • @jewto0b and of course his master, MC Simon Milligan... grandmaster of funk.... AND EVIL!

  • "watchmojo" sucks. I almost fell asleep during this shit vid. No interview, no interesting content what so ever. Worse than a commercial.

  • I saw them in winnipeg a couple years back and it was SOO funny :)

  • KITH 4 life

  • One of my biggest influences. Wish my generation today could appreciate these guys as opposed to nothing but dane cook.

  • AMEN,

    good lord, amen.

  • i was 2 when the series started and i still respect kids in the hall more than cooke, fuck him, KITH RULE

  • dane cook would be funny if he wasn't such a spaz. i hate how all his material comes back to him getting laid. i think he's over compensating

  • Hey man I'm with you,

    Kids In The Hall

    George Carlin

    good SNL

the early bill cosby stuff is great

    etc etc funny stuff

  • @xhyio If there were two things I wish I could get my generation to understand its KITH and string theory, if only....

  • Toronto, CANADA?! He could have easily said, "Toronto, Ontario".

But with all that aside, I fucking LOVE Kids in the Hall!!! it was my fucking favourite show until they took it off the air.

  • There was also a 2002 tour which I attended in Los Angeles, also forgets to mention the early members who were dropped or left

  • "Each member has gone on to varying levels of success"?

Good thing I watched this interview

  • "canadian broadcasting channel"

    um..it's broadcasting corporation.

i doubt mr. tyzik was the most memorable

    character.

  • The host didn't seem to know whereof he spoke. I know what CBC stands for and I'm a Yank. It's sad that he muffed that up.

As much as I love Mr. Tyzik, there are loads of other characters just as memorable.

  • It's probably the character which had the greatest influence on popular culture.

  • In that respect, yes, I agree. Mr. Tyzik's influence spreads far and wide, even if his name hasn't. Other characters come to the forefront of my mind because I spent an inordinate amount of time watching KITH.

  • yea haha, "Canadian Broadcast Channel" LOL, that made me laugh.

  • The official mojo site has "business" misspelled. First, zoiks! Second, I guess the CBC misnomer isn't that surprising in context.

  • This guy sounds even worse than drunk, he's sounds plain GAY. Get a new host, good lord I couldve done better in picking someone.

  • This guy sounds drunk. How awful.

  • Kids in the Hall was an amazing show, I own all 5 seasons and I never get tired of watching them, or hearing the theme song. Another great Canadian troupe is The Vacant Lot also produced by Lorne Micheals. I believe it only ran for one season but it is just as good and I believe Mark McKinney's brother is one of its members. If you like KINTH definitley check it out!

  • OMG mark Mckinney's brother was in vacant lot, if so which one plus I always though one of them looked similar too mark in many ways.

  • Nick McKinney was part of the Vacant Lot, and I'm sure he's the one you're thinking of!

  • cool I thought it was him :), also did you know that Vacant Lot was running alot longer than The Kids in the Hall where running?

  • No, all I saw were the four or five episodes that Comedy Central ran. I knew they were together for years before their cruelly truncated show aired, but I don't know much else. Did you see them perform live somehow? If so, allow me to wallow in jealousy for a bit.

  • I didn't see Vacant Lot live, I heard it off a Kids in the Hall communtary, I think.

  • This troupe is by far the greatest sketch master group on the earth. It never had shifts in the line-up and was as funny when it began as when it ended. Who can forget when Bobby beat Satan at guitar, then his mother(Foley) asks him to take out the garbage! Or how about when Foley was the infamous Axe-murderer! I don't know what was more rediculous... Foley covered in blood running out in the street in broad daylight like that, or the bum toting a wheel grinder down the suburban street-side??lol

  • YEah I'v loved them Since I was a kid!

  • To check out another great Canadian sketch comedy show, check out SCTV. It's where John Candy, Rick Moranis, and Martin Short, and Dave Thomas(Grace Under Fire; the pharmacist)all got their start. Also, Eugien Levy(the father of Jim in American Pie), Joe Flagherty(the guy who drives Happy Gilmore mad by yelling "Jackass" in the movie Happy Gilmore) as well as the mom in Home Alone& Beetlejuice all got their start here. Look for Dr. 3-D, it's awesome!

  • I'm aware of that show too, and love all of the guy's you just named but Kids in the Hall is still the winner in my book.

  • Mom in Home Alone and Beetlejuice = Catherine O'Hara. And don't forget Andrea Martin. The whole troupe was insanely funny.

  • You're doing the world a favor by introducing these geniuses to a new generation! I hope kids catch on to what is one of the most important pieces of pop-culture in the comedy realm, as well as of my teenage years; memorizing every single KITH sketch created, with my best friend Julie! And I love you for it. BRAVO!

  • What is wrong with your voice? You sound exceptionally awkward... it is painful to listen!
