  • All these things are actually in the film, Bud & Lou commonly called each other by their real names in a few films & they are still classics wouldn't you agree

  • The DRACULA novel says that Dracula casts no reflection in a mirror but it also says that he does not cast a shadow. So if you ever see Dracula's shadow in a movie that should be considered a mistake as well.

  • These aren't bloopers they are simple mistakes from one of the greatest movies ever >.< they didnt have all that highh tech stuff to fix it!

  • That's funny the titlke reads Never Seen before and 102 thousand have now seen it lol BTW I've seen it before on TV

  • That's funny the titlke reads Never Seen before and 102 thousand have now seen it lol

  • These aren't bloopers. These are mistakes

  • If you have seen many A&C films you'll find in their later movies (especially A&C meet the mummy) that calling themselves their actual name is not a rarity. That is what made them great, it did not matter. Best comedy duo ever. May their genius live forever.

  • who really gives a shit about any mistakes in these films, these films are classics, why try to pick fault with them after all this time... sad.

  • Though Glenn Strange gets sole credit as the monste in this movier, in the scene featured and several others at the end Lon Chaney Jr. played the monster after Strange injured his ankle.

  • Not a good title for this any longer since it has now been seen at least 76,766 times as of april 24th 2010.

  • The vampire's reflection in the mirror is not a blooper. The director obviously wanted that mirror reflection in the scene to show the actress' facial expression when she's being bitten. Vampire lore varies from movie to movie. Garlic and crosses don't work in every vampire film (or at least not in the same way). The same goes for vampires turning into bats and not casting mirror reflections.

  • Sorry, but I did not catch any "Abbot" in the first "blooper".

  • Did you listen "closley?"

  • I actually had a bloopers site, way back in the early 90s & I had caught the last 2 bloopers back then. But the first one is new to me. Bravo!

  • hahaha

  • What a film an american classic, I knew Bud Abbott as well as 1000 other performers in old films. im a film-yv historian and i cherish this film, thiscomedy team and this classic. superb acting music makeup, comedy & horror this is classic. lugosi is supreme, strange very good, chaney scarey A&C at their best. we need more films like this , this film will endure for all ETERNITY long after we are all gone. **** across the board supreme entertainment of the highest caliber TOMKES I know my films

  • Glenn Strange played the Monster (1899-1973) & as stated, DID play the bartender on Gunsmoke. He was a nice guy.

  • It's also rumored that a highly distorted and contrasted picture of his face as The Monster was used for WNEW 5's Creature Features opening in the early 70's to the show's demise in 1980.

It was a staple of our Saturday night horror viewing in the Tri-State area and it's main competitor was WPIX 11's Chiller Theatre.

BTW-WPIX 11 used to show Abbott and Costello movies EVERY Sunday afternoon and we couldn't get enough of it! Two of the best comics that ever lived!

  • Still one of the best A&C films, bloopers and all.

  • Are you saying thye were not real bolts that went all the way thru his neck , next you will be telling me he was an actor

  • Not really called bloopers. More like secrects

  • Type in Vic and Walt Abbott and Costello Tribute - Who's on first as well as Money Matters and The one liners to view our set from Lou Costello's 100th Birthday Celebration held in his home town of Paterson NJ. Enjoy.

  • WOW! is all I can say.

  • Frankenstein was played by the guy who was the bartender on gunsmoke.

  • great film

  • Bloopers are takes that have been butchered by the actors. These would be mistakes.

  • Gee, is that the best you can do? The movie is one of their best ever!

  • Four Frankies in one movie! Glenn Strange hurt his ankle, so Lon Chaney Jr suited up and played the monster for a scene or two; a stunt double played a couple of scenes; the monster that burned at the end was a mechanical mock-up.

  • Good info...Thanks :)

  • Good eye! I've always wondered about the mirror blooper. It's almost like the director did it deliberately for some reason!

  • Well...due to the fact the vampires do not exist it's difficult the find a fault with a non existing entity.

  • Why is this "never before seen"?

  • How are these "bloopers" when they are in the release print???? there are actual bloopers where the boys blow their lines and Glenn Strange breaks up when Lou is sitting on his lap. There is a whole reel of Abbott and Costello bloopers available in 16mm and video.

  • i luv this movie i oun it

  • DAmn! I wish I was the woman he bit!

    IloveBelaLugosi!!!!

  • I couldnt here him say Abbott.

  • Those aren't bloopers so much as goofs. And to be fair, Vampires are different from person to person. Maybe he COULD cast a reflextion just like some can look at crosses.

  • DUHH - He wasn't a real vampire! Golly Gee, Mr peepers.

  • Man you're really reaching for stuff aren't you? Give me a break.

  • Thank you for the video. No. I won't nitpik and try to be technical. I understand what you were pointing out.

  • amazing film, but thats a lye those parts are in the movie, ive seen this movie so many times, i think i would know!!!!!

  • To 'giggls16' - All three parts are in the movie.

  • OK, here is one I read about years ago in a Monster Mag. If you watch the Monster coming after the boys at the end, around the time he tears the gate down, look closely at the monster... It is not Glenn Strange, its Lon Chaney Jr. Rumor is he and Glenn drank quite a bit on the set, and Glen fell and couldn't get the boots on, so Chaney did it. Do not know if its true, but there is a spot where the monster looks very different in the face.

  • Actually Glen broke his ankle when he was holding the girl in the air he tripped over a chord. Chaney indeed stood in for a scene though. Even though it was from far away his movements were much more violent and less robotic.

  • great film

  • Yea what do you mean never before seen? How can we not see it if it's in the movie? You think we never noticed those things? Especially the Dracula one?

  • What do u mean NEVER BEFORE SEEN? wEVE SEEN THESE 1000 TIMES...

  • I'll have to dig out my VHS copy of this and watch it yet another time.

    A really funny film.

  • te biggest blooper is 'closely' is spelled wrong!

  • These aren't bloopers. These are Nitpicker observations.

  • These are not really bloopers since they are in the movie. This is just mistakes like the lake that didn't exist in Titanic when he says he fished with his dad, or the gas cylindar on the chariot in gladiators. it happened back then and happens now

  • Very disappointing. Was looking forward to actual bloopers and instead we get a few mistakes. Also, if they are in the movie, how have they "never been seen?"

  • Exactly... never seen?

  • so none of these are funny? we should call them mishaps or something... a blooper to me is something that will make me laugh :)

  • I guess technically bloopers are mistakes that got left in. Out takes would be total mistakes that make you laugh.

IF you wanna be technical :) (but who does? lol. I agree though, I usually think the same thing you do when I hear "blooper")

  • yeah, there are actually bloopers, or funnies that go along with this movie and are atually quite funny. was hoping to find it on youtube.

  • Don't suppose you also caught the bloober where Bud is calling for Chic while Frankestein is walking to him...and his lips aren't matching his words?

  • these are not bloopers- these scenes all appear in the film as you see them here..the bolt peeling is no surprise because if youll notice early on in the film where the monster is unpacked from the crate his neckbolts also are loose, also watch as he sits up youll see his latex mask over his eyebrows settles into place on his forehead. by this time universal was making em fast and cheap, not the artistic masterpieces they were creating only a decade before. still love this film enormously!

  • The first scene is bullshit! Lou does NOT call

Bud "Abbott" at all...he calls him "Chic" which was his character's name. The rest of it, I'll go with.

  • He calls him Abbot just before he does the hand motion of the wall panel and says "Awound (or something like that)"

  • that is next to IMPOSSIBLE to distinquish.

  • yeah, I just heard it. he says "I wanna tell you Abbott" real fast so I didn't hear it the first time. I get what you mean now. Sorry.

  • I liked it. thanks for sharing it was cool.

  • I had picked up the first 2 bloopers years ago when the A&C features were shown every Sunday afternoon. But I never picked up on the electrode blooper! Good catch!

  • get a life....bloopers are one thing showing small crap is another

  • Thanks for ruining the movie for me. I was looking foward to seeing it for the first time and...... thanks for the great clips, looking foward to seeing anything the boys have done.

  • That vampire in the mirror find was spot on! I've watched this movie at least 50 times and never picked up on it. You should be a detective for the CIA!

  • Dear Evolution,

There is a section where bloopers from

    "A&C Meet Frankentsein"do exsist.

    In Fact?

If you to the right side of this section

..you find "The A&C Meet Frankenstein

    Bloopers"section..which has those outakes.

  • Are You kidding?

These bloopers have been seen in

the VHS Cassette and the DVD

    "A&C AT The Movies!".

  • I've never seen that video. I have many A & C DVD's and these continuity errors/gaffs are not mentioned on them... regardless, it's just for fans who have not seen them, and for A & C fans to come together and blogg....

  • ive spotted one more blooper. In your clip description you refer to Abbot and Costello as A & B

  • LOL- you are right my friend. You wn a no-prize.

  • Not great, but hey atleast you made the effort. Thanks!

  • Well - that sucked!

  • You sure can pick out some fine details... very good!
