Dr Mercola are you aware of any product that its like a six foot box that you can use for complete darkness, like something that you can put ontop of yourself and is at the same time portable and cheap if not feel free to steal my idea a create this lol
So you mentioned the contrast between the bright light of the daytime VS the darkness of the nighttime and expanded upon the darkness part. But what about the brightness part as in winter daytime light in the far North (Alaska here). On cloudy/snowy days we rarely see sunshine and a very muted daylight for short periods. Does that influence this process? What should we do in that case?? Thanks Dr Mercola!!
Is it an issue if light waves go through the eyelid? If it is, that means that one can't get melatonin when sleeping in a light room during the day unless the eye patch is worn? Why do we have eyelids that close during sleep?
@adrianwaj not really but the issue is that nearly everyone opens their eyelids throughout the night which caused the light to hit the retina which is a direct extension of your brain which then shuts off melatonin production in the pineal.
I started to use the mask for restorative yoga, now I use it when ever I sleep. The darkness is also important to access alternate realities relative to the Cosmos. No need to pass the DMT, since we already got it! Good vid, Doc!
great video!

@StarFlower99654 That is a problem. I believe it is unhealthy to live that far away from the equator and that is one of the prices you pay.

I told my boss not to wake me up again at work so I can produce enough melatonin. Apparently he needed some too.

Does sleeping with one's head next to a powerpoint pose an issue - there's nothing plugged into the powerpoint?

@mercola I just ran a search on fluoridation and pineal - I'd say fluoridation would also affect melatonin. Pretty serious.
