  • A fashion statement!?!??!

People need to wish up id do anything to stop s/h, but imm addicted now !! and i do anything to hide it !

  • ..wear long...sleeves afterwards. She made me feel I had someone who I can relate to. Then it turned out she did it for attention. She would constantly bring it up in conversation and would show of her scars and would make up her reasons for doing so, stuff about her family etc which I knew were lies. Lets just say we aren't friends anymore

  • The media shows self-harm. Then people who have no way of dealing with problems, possibly depressed see it and maybe find a way to help them - hence the increase. Another reason is unfortunately people will do it as a trend - increase. And people who do it may see it in the media, realise they aren't alone or they do have a problem and may come out - again increase.

I had a friend who I confided in and she said she'd done the same for a long time, only afterwards did she start to wear long...

  • Ellie answered the questions terrifically. Well done i don't think anyone could answer these questions better well done. =]

  • Is there a massive increase or a massive increase in effective research is what I'd like to know.

  • Hi Ellie -wave-

  • The truth is that when you put something like self injury in the news.. people who have never even had the thought in their head now have knowledge of this thing that people do.. which increases the probability of people doing it! I mean. how are you gonna do a drug if nobody introduces it to you?!? I blame the news! and yes, that is where I heard of it. Now I can't stop...And I am now regreting every last scar!

  • I don't think that is really true sorry. In general I think it comforts people to know that it isn't just them and that others are in the same place.

  • seif-harm ?

    is it bad ?

    amd if y?

    tell me

  • self inflicted pain

    its a horrible thing

its addictive and will take control of your life.

  • agreed.

  • Its good at the time because it makes you feel better, otherwise you wouldn't do it.

But it becomes an addiction, a necessity and it rules your life. It leaves you with ugly scars, it can be dangerous and it isn't worth it, There are better ways of dealing with things

  • cheers for the clip.
