When you using the camera to focus, rather put your hand UNDER the lens than on the top because you forcing it downwards instead of LIFTING it up.....
i do a lot of nature photography and this is a nice way to use in an urban environment, but its seems kind exposed down there on the hip, i can just see all sorts of thorns and brush raking across it, even if you block it a bit with your hand, needs some kind of slide stop so you can adjust how high up it is, bonus is this keeps it out of the way if you are also using binos
That's fine if you wear a jacket all the time, to keep the camera out of the way. But the problem with all of these "sling" type straps is without a jacket, the camera is in the way of your hand when you walk.
For gawd sake buy an R-Srap and don't jump! If you use a Domke gripper strap you can hook the quick release clips together to form a safety strap for this kind of system (R strap).
The Slingers version is garbage - hardware store grade eyelet etc. Stay away. I've seen them all and the R is the best hands down. No sun-sniper - crappola too.
yeah, i gotta gripped 5D mark II... no way I'm gonna let my cam swing around on the side of me when I'm walking around and accidentally clip it with a handrail or something like that.
this would work great for a rebel series with kit lens, though.

Nice one, I may have a go at building my own.

Looks like the R-Strap. I don't like giving up my tripod socket, so I use a different way.
Btw please turn your lens hood around, or take it off, that's something that frustrates me when I see people leave their lens hoods backwards.

the jumping will ruin the camera lens and shutter......

@bvangumoney I'm glad he sacrificed his equipment to show me that the clips on this rig are secure.
