my niece has one on her cheek, she is about 10 months old. i guess we lucked out. she isn't going through surgery until age 5. it takes up a lot of her right cheek but she doesn't have a lot of trouble with eating, it hasn't affected her hearing or eyesight. i'm sorry these babies had to go through that.
Mine developed on my upper lip; directly below my nose. In the 1960's and '70's, the best course of action was to wait until the blood vessels pulled away. I had mine removed at thirteen, and the scar is barely visible. Beautiful little girl!
She's absolutely beautiful. My son has a hemangioma between his eyes. He has been receiving laser treatments since 2 months old. He is now 7 months old and it has stabilized. I thank God for our pediatric dermatologist. May God bless your beautiful family.
I have one in my right cheek. We became aware of it when I was 1 years old. Did not get it removed afraid of loosing feeling on my face. Im 21 years old now and it started to grow again. I was seen by the doctors and they are still concerned about loss of feeling. Im not sure if its worth the procedure. Im glad everything turned out great for Nicole. :)
