@metalmaster88 On DVD yes - but that's a shitty telecine transfer with a horrible picture. Curtains has never been given a proper region 1 release. A commentary track would be interesting as there were reportedly a ton of problems with the actors on the set. **Streebo
So in the book version of 2001, is it written like the movie. "We see the space ship floating into space very, very, very, very slowly. It's still floating slowly..........it's a little closer to you......a little closer......it's moving very slowly.......yep, still going......." :p
Another enjoyable and interesting video. Anyone directing horror cannot go wrong being influence by the Shining, both in terms of the film itself and the immense craft and skill it took to make it. Good luck with your projects for 2012.
@HungerCultFilms Thanks for the cool comments! I appreciate the support. I suppose my next project will show my Kubrick influence the most but that's to be expected I suppose. I only wish I had a tenth of his technical craft. What a great filmmaker. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoy your guys videos!! I hope you have a great time at conventions this year and I hope to see you at Fright Night Film Fest. Also, best of luck with your new film project.
@RIPmyers As far as I know there has never been a proper region 1 release of Curtains. It was included in a multi-movie package set with something like five other movies but apparently it was a telecine source as the transfer quality was horrible. I've had a bootleg VHS rip for a few years that I got off some guy in Canada but that's the best I've ever seen. Curtains is very underrated in my book. Thanks for watching. UFC tonight I have Sonnen, Evans, and Weidman win.
@MutantvillePlayers You are right. I have it on a 4 dvd slasher film set. I do have Curtains on vhs though with teh clam shell cover. I watched some of the UFC fights last night but I'm curious to see if Bisping got his ass whipped which I hope cause he's a jackass so I will go to ufc.com and see the results lol. Have a good Sunday buddy!
I don't always comment, but I always enjoy your vids Streebo. I'm glad you can give your opinions and openly debate about all aspects of film, not just the surface stuff that everyone talks about. Won't be seeing you at any of those conventions, but have an awesome time like you always do!!
@MADPUPPETDETH Very cool. Always wanted to check out one of those shows. Just don't have the cash to make it to them all - especially in today's economy.
curtains is out on dvd, 5 dollar bin in a4 pack at any wal-mart
