The brighter the light, the more battery that gets used. And if your out on a night ride then you don't want a bright light causing spots in your vision. It just needs to be light enough to read.
@HarneyOutdoors You may well be right but to be honest It cant be used whilst riding anyway as you have to hold the button in longer than is comfortable.. Actually the main problem with this unit is battery consumption.. I had a flight deck before this that I chnged the battery once in three years.... this unit eats a battery a month.. Its best to buy a job lot cr2302 batts on ebay and keep a note of your settings when you have to reload them after swapping the battery out.
I had that same casio g-shock watch about 15 yrs ago is there a model on it? I'd like to buy it online, if you could provide any info on it that would be awesome. Thanks.
@psfio1 Sorry mate... its an old watch from the bottom of a drawer... Straps worn out but the watch is still going strong... you need to search Japan ebay / google I reckon.
I just bought a fitness timer that is just as bright. And, I have a watch that's brighter also. I wonder if it's the battery? Maybe a new battery would make a difference.
