and pandit ji here shows his affection for the style of Bade Ghulam ali khan sahib! he was also VERY impressed by Amir khan sahib by his own admission! I am sure this recording was made when he was in his 40s in the 60s or early 70s

@Psyche1954 It is GREAT that The Divine Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab left that wretched place known as pakistan and returned to his Mother India. Now, I believe the mullas in that wretched pakistan are trying to STOP all forms of Hindustani music believing it to be too Indian to be had in pakistan. They want to have only Arabian art there and want to uproot art eventually altogether, believing it to be against Islam. Had Khan Sahab remained there, he would have had to forget his music!!

It was a credit to maharaja of Baroda who brought The Great khan sahib back to India just 3 or 4 years after he emigrated to pakiland! !n an interview to Khan sahib confessed his affection to the discerning audience! "Here i have nawabs and maharajas begging me to stay and in that land of pure no one knew who I was?I was deffinitely mad to have left India" he said, and then stayed put till his sad demise in sixties ! he was the most saught after artiste for the AIR! agree with U!

brilliant bhairavi! the signature composition of kirana gharana in bhairavi is boli na bol sajan hum sang and was rebdered ( immortalised by gangu bai hangal and panditji himself!

Bhairavi and the performance will not be complete without sri mallikarjun ji singing a meera bhajan "daro nadarona rang mope" and patiala gharana doyen bade ghulam ali khan sahib singing Baaju band khul khul jaaye

It seems that Panditji was very young when this recording was made. Where was this recoding made?
