This was the Dick Cavett ABC morning show circa 1968 or 1969. ABC was just starting to build him up. He went late night in color in the fall of 1969 and ABC put him up as a sort of thinking man's Johnny Carson against Joey Bishop and David Frost. At its best, Dick Cavett was great talk! Lasted about five seasons, I think. Had a great rapport with Groucho, who was a sort of comedic uncle to him.

What year was this broadcast, please? I recall seeing the later Groucho appearances on Cavett, but I was probably in school the morning this B&W show was shown...what year? Guessing it could be1966 or so? Great guys. Love 'em both.
I so wish they would still write songs like this. In fact, I know there are several incredible songs like this in older movies...I bet if someone would dig a bit, they could really put an incredible group of songs together.
Which show is this?? I bought three Cavett DVD sets to get all Groucho interviews, but this is older and clearly from another source. Where did you find this, cavettbiter? Please send a pm.

That music was composed by Leonard Bernstein. Maybe it's the arrangement.
