It's really not that amazing. The Infiniti has 330 HP while the MB only has 362. They have a very close power/weight ratio. 11.01 lb/HP and 10.5 lb/HP, respectively. Factor in the extra gear in the G37s and it ought to be a pretty close race.

The M37 has tuned out all the loud noises with the VQ37VHR. Nissan built an engine that works for them, not the buyer. I can't tune my 370z because of Nissan and how they made their VVEL system. Its annoying

When I first saw the G37 I wasn't really attracted to it. I still couldn't get over the G35, but A friend of mine had a G37 and I loved it! When it comes down thought the G35 feels torquer and Sportier, while the G37 is more on the Luxury side and less torquey.
