  • @TheParaAnalysis no.we don't have the same training.the raf regiment 2 squadron are baby paras.nothing more.they dont do p company.only a shortened watered down versoin of it

  • bunch of tesco security gaurds nothing more maybe a bit less hats

  • Each service is equal, the RAF is the best airforce in the world and they cover the sky. The Royal Navy does the same at sea and for specialist operations. The Army covers land, they are the main focus for the Taliban and the other forces are elites that cover and protect them.

  • what you trying to say?

  • how comes i ant seen one black man on these RAF vidz?

  • @jukee07 psml they take all and all comrers perhaps you could not make the grade psml

  • @rockape560 what you trying to say

  • @rockape560 what you trying to say?

  • @kramnodd9 no affence mucker but am with 2 PARA and we bumped into some lads from 2 squadron raf.aye they earned there para's wings, however they are no where near as good as us or any other infantry regular battlion. There training is longer simoply due to the fact they use specialist equipment for defence.very rarely sre they on the attack scenario.on there 4 month tour of afghan, they mayby ventured out roughly onve or twice a month to scan the perimater and recieved no contacts.there good lad

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck Don't mock with yourselves, Para, and other forces your one together, on the same side, with the same training and knowledge, if you only new your real purpose, but who am i give advice, Your a dick pal!!! One together pratt, the whole world, the solar system and universe is very big. think what I say!!! Wake up!!

  • @TheParaAnalysis Nice one mate, i like your ideals. Want to join II sqn RAF regiment when i'm 18. Can't wait, starting training soon, don't care what all these Dicks say the've got an important role to play, with a much larger area. Subscribe to me, Its a relatively new channel PANGEA, but its gonna be better. Cheers!

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck Alright bu they must do with SFSG right. BTW do you know how often they choose II squadron for it, like what are the chances of being picked and going on an ops, and how do they choose II squadron guys.

  • And no affence, but they are viewed as remfs,as there main job is defend airfields.sorry to tell you but its the truth, however am no being a dick about it like that walter mitty hitler cunt

  • @1945MrHitler shut up ya wee cunt. Am a para gluebag,so i'll no be taking any of yer shit.what a cunt.just coming on here to wind up these guys.what a low life. For those who dont know this poof is a fucking walter-mitty who goes on raf videos to post hatred i.e a troll. Get a grip ya wee cunt or i'll fucking drag you down to catterick, and make you go through p company, see what a smartass you are

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck

I did P company in the 80's, you're a para like fuck Walter

  • i don't get all the hate towards these guys:

    1) any service man/women deserves a lot off respect regardless of job role or rank

    2) many people who give the hate aren't even soldiers themselves so you can shut up when you haven't done any kind of training or service.

    3) the RAF Regt get into contact with enemy forces in firefights but we all know the main threat is IED's so everone outside the wire is in danger!

    4) without them everyone on base would be sitting ducks!

    show some respect!

  • Im not going to lie. This Video is totally misleading. And thats from a serving rock.

  • @RockapeandRolla Explain what you mean?

  • Now this is the real Air Force Infantry ! These guys are way much better than U.S.Air Force Security Forces . This is from an old Airborne Infantryman myself .

  • I will never rate the RAF regt. Why would u send the rock apes out on the frontline. Like sending a chef to do a medics job. Useless and dangerous. Can't see these guys out in the thick of it. To far away from pizza hut! REMF's!!!

  • @hippogoesmental

They're just as capable as any regular infantry regiment in the Army, perhaps even more so. Their training is tougher and longer than a regular infantry regiment. And the RAF Regiment's 2 squadron (their parachute regiment) is just as tough, if not tougher, than the Army's parachute regiment.

RAF Regiment is the most underrated force in the British military. Any infantryman that hates on them is simply in denial and probably a little jealous.

  • @kramnodd9 keep telling yourself that

  • @hippogoesmental

It's true though. They do their job very well. Why all the hostility? They still engage the enemy and they're just as capable as the Army. It's just that they're looked after much better. The RAF looks after its employees, the Army doesn't. I think that's why so many people are bitter towards them.

  • @kramnodd9 that is utter bollocks, the army look after one another. i like the RAF they've saved a lot of people and do a great job in afghan flying into hostile situations to pick up the wounded etc. what i dont like is videos like this where the RAF reg try to big themselves up by stealing pics and videos from the troops who actually fight. maybe its insecurity or whatever but this shit is not on. they maybe the last guys to do a jump but that shit is outdated and a waste of resources.

  • @hippogoesmental

The RAF regiment go into hostile situations as well. They don't just sit around doing fuck all, they actually go out and engage the enemy to prevent attacks on airfields. You're just ignorant about what they actually do. The RAF Regiment are easily just as capable as any regular infantry regiment, and 2 squadron are just as capable as the Parachute Regiment (although less experienced).

The Army are cannon-fodder. They're grunts, and your envy of the RAF is obvious.

  • @kramnodd9 I agree with you 100%

  • Comment removed

  • even more determined now, just got back from PGSC, was unsuccesful dropped out the skirmish, now even more time for fitness! and going to smash it now :D the next time im there

  • DAMN I WISH WE HAD A UNIT LIKE THAT IN CANADA! I'd join right this instant!

  • just finished week 9 of tg course, who ever is thinking of joining its been great so far but very physical, dont listen to the wankers talking shit, they have no idea at all. training is tough but you get through it with good bunch of lads and laugh when times are tough.

  • Good work lads, I know a lot of guys out there take the piss, but some one needs to guard the NAFFI while the big boys go to work. Keep it up ;)

  • reg*

  • a lad was seriously hurt in the rag the other day.....

...........he fell off his watch tower

  • @itstimetodrum actually did you know the RAF Regt are moving away from just stagging at KAF and are actually moving out into Helmand onto "frontline" conducting agreesive operations involving moving into contact, the Regiment is changing nowadays

  • Always used to consider the Rock Apes to be abit of an "fish and chip" outfit when I served, but after speaking to a Family member who has served in both the RAF Regt and the army says that these boys have realy upped thier game and are now as good as any infantry regt he's worked with

  • I know someone who was in the RAF reg and army he got more experiences in the RAF regiment apparantly you do f@&! all in the army

  • @ThePlaneWithNoWings

I suppose you dont when you served with the Catering corps he he,with whats going on in Afghanistan everyones busy mate

  • looking to join the regiment but what would i expect on a day to day basis at honnington and what can i get out of this service?

  • @mrbeefy252525 pat on the back, maybe a kiss on the cheek and an issuing of bedsocks and a hot water bottle.

  • I'm thinking about joining next year after school. Can anyone tell me if you're able to get a degree while your there?.

  • as an ex rock of 22yrs,cameout in 94,you train hard to work hard but enjoy your off time.

dont be put off by wankers who dont know the truth

  • @Danibanez600 I got my pgsc on the 27 June I know I'm fit enough, I've trained harder for this than when I went to the army! The ppl that faild your course did alot of the give up and quit? I know I will pass it's all I want!

  • @Jpezo88

it was a mixture of a few things, you got 3 days of tests which some people failed ie timings and attitude, then there was the beastings on battle pt. lots of lads got injured or dropped out, its all about mentality in that so never give up and ur fine, even if they tell u to ring the bell, dont. good luck mate, all the best

  • @Danibanez600 Dont drop your suitcase when you run around the airfield ha ha ha

  • do RAF reg have thier own medics? or do RAF medics get attached to them?

  • I'm loving all this "the regiment are REMF" bullshit going around. The FAC parties have to be at the same level of profession as the paras or commandos. Personally, I think you jealous squadies are just a tad upset your regiment doesn't make up part of the UKSF....

  • @BassDudeBear My My you do talk shite

  • @youreallremfs How so? They do not claim to be the same warriors as army infantry. Simply because they are not trained to do the same job. A Rifles regiment probably COULD capture an airfield if they really wanted. But they wouldn't know how to do it as efficiently or make the base ready for RAF control quite as well as the Regiment. Likewise the Regiment COULD perform a combat patrol, but not as well as a Rifles regiment in the army as that is what they're trained for.

  • @BassDudeBear "quite as well as the Regiment"

    Head to desk....

  • does anyone know what the gunners joining age is? some sites say 16-29 and on another 16-35?

  • @MrJonnyboyification 08456055555

  • @TejMulen Yeah, it's like having the Air Fleet Arm, Army Air Corps, or the Royal Marines. All three Services dip into one another.

  • I'm currently joining the British army. But these guys and the rest of the RAF have my 100% respect keep up the good work :)

  • @harrygorrod23 What regiment?

  • What's the point in having an infantry unit in an air force...

  • @ThrexyX They actually explain this in the video...

the RAF isn't just about planes and helicopters - they are merely the principle form of attack/defense, with the regiment acting as support. Just as the army and the navy focus mainly on the ground and sea, but also have powerful air support at their disposal.

  • @ThrexyX What is the use of Marines on ships, the use of police in the forces, or ........Answer: the need.

  • @ThrexyX To protect the aircraft, also not needed to depend on the army if they need it, because the reg will always be there

  • @Danibanez600 Dont do it! for the love of god dont do it!!

  • ive passed all the tests to get in apart from the potential gunner course, they have sent my train tickets through and i go on the 21st of march. I WILL PASS. my fitness is good and im ready. cant wait

  • @Danibanez600 Good luck to you.

  • @mercuryforeva

cheers mate, ive passed my pgsc in march and now im going in to do the tg course in june. cant wait.

  • @Danibanez600 Awesome mate! how was it? good luck again! :)

  • @mercuryforeva

it was so hard fella, only 12 out of 48 passed my course!! my date for entry is 20th june. im now running 7 miles 5 times a week, loads of circuits and weights getting ready for hell. cheers for support.

  • @Danibanez600 wow!!! I understand that it must be and is difficult to get in! And you're doing this training for the next stage in selection or for another assessment? or is it just your preparation for entry? As long as you are looking forward to the challenge thats the main thing :) enjoy it!! no probs for the support.

  • @mercuryforeva

i start my training on the 20th trainee gunner course. ive passed all stages now so just getting ready for the training :)

  • @Danibanez600 Ha Ha Hell in a Crab oufit, Please. Ha Ha

  • @youreallremfs

    grow up and shut up

  • most of the jobs the raf regt get are dogshit, but when they've been given the responsibility of decent ops they've not fucked it up best example is MERT so the bollocks about them being a joke is getting boring and also the being gash shit aswell, some of the drills ive heard from some units in the army if they were to get out into the media then alot of guys would be getting fucked

  • I couldn't get in because of psoriasis, the worst day of my life was the day I got that news :o(

  • lmao middy at 3.17 - couldn't write that shit .......

  • I am proud of the RAF Reg and aware of their capabilities. Per Ardua.

  • Thats interesting- 2 Sqn are wankers/Remfs/gate guards? I assume Mr Davday is just picking up words and opinions to cause trouble. Hes an idiot.

At least when I insult people I know what Im talking about.

    PS-Im neither fat nor jealous.

  • I will make an exception though-2 Sqn deserve respect.

  • @kalimar1100 ha ha 2sqn a the biggest bunch of tossers, a laughting stock of the armed forces, paratrooper give me strength, only fit for gate guard. Remfs

  • @MrDavdaydav ..Here he is again mr one man army Rambo..mr fucking ..when i..i think he wants you to think he was in the Paras..but he bought a para smock from a car bootsale and goes round telling everybody he was in the Falklands..even though he would have only been 2...if you dont like the Reg guys stay off there sites..there doing there bit ,better than a civy wanker,,there Moms dads Wives Girlfriends visit these site just to see them being slagedoff by a fat cunt like you..SO FUCK OFF WHEN I

  • They are probably saying it cos they know what they're talkin about. "The 2nd most popular force" Wot does that mean? In reality they are quite simply "Securicor with guns".

Its academic anyway-the way the RAF is going it aint gonna be around for much longer. The only useful bit of flying kit is the Apache-and thats flown by Army pilots. How surprising.

  • Waste of money.

  • You lot saying the RAF Regiment are worthless are totally pathetic.

You know fuck all about anything to do with it, why are you saying all this?

Its a regiment of the Royal Air Force, part of and the 2nd most popular force in the British armed forces. The RAF, the Navy, the Army, The Marines , The SAS, they all work to the same common goal defending the UK and its interests and providing world peace, Im set out on either since I can no longer be a RAF pilot being in the Marines or RAF Reg. sh.

  • I used to be in the 92 chorley sqdrn :D x

  • im joining soon

  • Arronpaul79@ yh cool thanks I was considering joining the infantry which would be cool but this come up I guess time will tell

  • @themushroomcloud69

Simple decision mate, if u want to be a soldier and experience combat, then join the infantry, if not then join the RAF regt.

  • I want to join this BUT I also want to join the infantry I'm 16 and about to go college and get me some more qualifications to help me but hopefully it shouldn't be that hard to get in I HOPE :)

  • @themushroomcloud09 Don't take advice off nonsensical idiots, if you want to join, go to the army/RAF/Royal navy careers office, where they are the best people to ask :) and you can get a proper vision of what you really want. People who come on an RAF Regiment vid to slag em off are either too fat to join the Rock Apes or are just plain jealous. Good luck.

  • @mercuryforeva thanks m8 im sick to death of people slagging them off

  • @MrK3AN3Y No problem mate, the ones that slag them off obviously have NO clue what they are talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • @1945MrHitler lmao, as if anyone is going to take you seriously.

  • Comment removed

  • @1945MrHitler No, get it right, no one takes specimens like you seriously.

  • Force protection? Sanger bashing on Bastion, that's a well earned medal for the "3rd elite force" RAF reg are a joke lol

  • @danibanez600

So what can the RAF reg do that any infantry regt can't do? It's not arrogance, it's just fact.

  • And if the Army didn't have the RCT/ACC/RAOC it was (according to all the REMFs)going to fall apart. It didnt.

Its irrelevant anyway. Todays conflict is being fought by the Army and the Royal Marines.

The RN and the RAF are a tool- End of story.

  • @kalimar1100

A tool? Care to elaborate on that?

  • just done my interview.last time I failed on my medical but im better now, I really hope they let me in, im so ready, wanna be proud of myself and my family and friends to be proud of me.

well done all the forces great job

  • Absolutely no need for the RAF reg, really wot is the point of having them? Waste of tax payers money

  • @arronpaul79

what a arrogant approach, they are a major part of the defence to our air forces, raf regiment protect the airfields and planes from the enemies so that the army, marines and paras are protected from the air. its called team work and if there where no raf regiment then marines and paras would have to come off the front line to protect the airbases this letting the Taliban to grow stronger. use your brain next time before engaging your mouth.

  • @Danibanez600 I agree, tossers for a start for coming to an RAF reg vid in the first place and insulting them. The Rock Apes are integral, people should do their research properly before making remarks regarding the RAF's abilities :)

  • Well done Lads :)

  • Ha! trained with a couple of the lads on this vid. gd memorys.

  • These comments are all very interesting- "who's done a proper tour/which unit is really front line etc..." One thing is certain- none of us old guys can say "it was harder when I was in". Thats a fact.

  • the uk has 3 elite forces (paras, raf regt and marines) all of which specialise in diffrent aspects of warfare they provide protection that nothing else can please respect their job choice as people from ALL forces die and are wounded for US, i wanna join raf regt but that is because i love my country NOT because i am an army failure

  • mrnobodygivesafuck YOUR A FUCKING TURD!! fighting insurgents!!! when did you see any of them???? I think your getting kbr and the Taliban mixed up... if you left kaf or bastion you might have something to be "proud of" however you hang around bastion looking taggy as fuck! the RAF reg is an embarresment to British armed forces i would rather go on patrol with the ANA than ! would you cunts!

  • Wish we could have "taken the lead in force protection". Anything for a quiet life. Mwuaaahhaaaa!

  • but at the end of the day guys, wether you are serving at the moment like myself, or are inspiring to join the armed forces, rather than argue or down talking us "rock apes". show pride ?. I mean its things such as freedom of speech, the right to vote etc that was given to you by all armed forces back in ww1 and ww2, I dont look down any part of the armed forces, as it is a hard thing for a man or women to start a job which is incredibly life threatning and on a daily basis fight insurgents

  • @Suttonhoo1. I've served in NI with the RAF Regt and completed tours down at toonbridge, North house street mill, Maze. I served 24 years. Your OBV a little pissed off the your brain capability let you down at the CIO and you were turned away after trying for the Regt. Backward steps are not required when you have resources and the experience, skill and knowledge to use them. You keep doing your two fingered typing and let you ego carry you through life. Per Ardua dickhead.

  • @nigeboxer Toonbridge? Is that anywhere near Toomebridge? Maze prison? Was called The Kesh when I was there.North House Street Mill?Never heard of it. There was Flax Street Mill- Army/RM only of course as it was in Belfast. Or maybe Bessbrook?

I suspect your NI service was later than the 70s/ early 80s.RAF Reg had only 2 postings then- Aldergrove or Bishops Court. I was in 33 Independent Squadron, we didnt do 4 month or 18 month "tours", we were there permanently.

  • Its called "you tube"-i'll say what I like. And I've earned the right to take the piss out of any unit that I don't think rates as a "first option" in career choice.

  • @FukinTrollinFaggots If you manage to get thru training and ever use the phrase "special forces spackhead" you'll be as popular as face cancer. And you'll look like you've got it.

  • Admittedly it was a long time ago but...in Belfast late 70s the RAF Regiment got an NI Medal for guarding Aldergrove Airfield. Never went within 15 miles of the city.(Though in fairness some REMF soldiers didnt either, but still got the ribbon)

And I dont want to hear any stories about that "Eagle Flight" nonsense- you simply weren't allowed in High Risk areas- thats a fact.

  • @FukinTrollinFaggots i assume you have failed British Army selection? Or wanted RAF but all they offered you was Regiment?

Might as well get used to the piss taking now- you'll get a lot of it when you/re serving. From all the services.

  • During the whole time i served in Afghanistan i never saw them take a backwards step, not bloody one

  • @SmallTatty So who are you saying did?

  • @suttonhoo1 The Taliban

  • @SmallTatty Maybe because they never get into a situation where "taking a backwards step" may be an option

  • Anyone who has earned the right to wear a British uniform has also earned the right to be respected. However- people coming up with ridiculously overinflated comments about where the RAF Regiment is in the pecking order of ability just ask for mockery. The reason they were created and their current job role say it all- defence. Not attack.

  • Why do young lads join the RAF Regiment?

Quoting "The best of the Best" is just asking for sarcasm.

  • Comment removed

  • Best of the best!

  • from am ex 2sqn guy well done guys

  • crabairways you are a fucking dump shit the RAF Regiment is harder to get into then the army. They are eliet soilders. and i would like to see u say that to their face's you tossier

Well rodney, i served 12 years 5 Army, 7 Raf, saw you bunch of hand jobs at Hullavington when 2 sqn were there what a embarrassment to the armed forces they are, if you want to be hairy arsed paratroopers then join the para. Or is it a case of know my limitations, ps say where and when rodney.

  • Comment removed

  • @crabairways also one group, one squadren doesnt represent the full RAF regiment, thats like saying the 33rd infantry devision (regular army) represents all the infranty, now im willing to let it go that mayby one squadren could have been fooling around (probability they were new recruits or young men) the fact of the mattar is that they're not any less of a soldier than you or I. its well known and I know this personally that contact with the taliban in the regiment is getting increasingly high

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck

currently serving officer, and you don'y know wot a rodney is.

lying cunt i bet you work at tesco's

  • @jackhedger You have no clue whatsoever, so don't pretend otherwise

  • @goonballer whats it like mate? i have done the practice tests, i am waiting for my application to be successful, do you know in what time we have to run the 3 miles in at our PGAC. I might see ya when we do the 29 weeks training??

  • @AyDavey21 the test is quite easy in some parts but the memory test is insane !! you should pass no doubt tho bud, 3 miles in PGAC is done in minimum 24 mins mate , and yh might do , im not sure when the next intake is though will have to ask AFCO on monday , good luck mate!

  • @goonballer i have to run it within 24 minutes? okay sounds like a new challenge then, if you got any tips for me that i shyould no about i would really appreciate it. I wanna be 110% fit and ready for it so i get in.

  • Great, The RAF Regiment is brilliant my mates dads just come out and now im convinced to go in!

  • ha ha ha when ever im down thares nothing like watching some raf regt hats playing soldiers nothing nore than a bunch of super market security gaurds ha

  • @tall7586. tall7586 Why dont you first of all, learn to spell, then identify who, what you are. Then may be we can have a good laugh at what you represent. F*** Head. Its sites like You Tube that makes you such a Hard B*****d. I would love to see you up face to face with some of these soldiers. I dont think you would be so gobby then. Any way you must be keen, as to look these videos up. Just grow up and get educated.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck Buddy you don't know nearly as much about the forces as you think, just coz "my daddy served" doesn't make you some sort of authority on all things military. Firstly entry into SFSG is now open to all branches, not just paras, RM etc, any fucker can apply. Secondly there is no way on this earth that the RAF Regiment are "in more combat than the regular army" don't fucking dare suggest that again. Finally the RAF Regiment aren't "elite", at all. Seriously.
