well my dads heart beats normal at rest and then for like 3-5 seconds it beats faster then back to normal for rest...then some times it slows down alot, should i be concerned for him??
@Millsy540 Yes, you need to consult a doctor. While arrhythmia comes and may go without doing anything, you need to know what it causes. We have very good experiences in the family with taking a high quality fish oil plus Coq10 in its best bioavailable form called ubiquinol. The frequency of the episodes is much less now (1-2 per year).
these vids never help with anything...got a cousin that suffers from this shit and no one knows what the hell to do about it. doctors say its nothing "life-threatening" and just relax til it's overy. sucks....
The heart has an internal electrical system that controls the rhythm of the heartbeat. Problems can cause abnormal heart rhythms, called arrhythmias. There are many types of arrhythmias. During an arrhythmia, the heart can beat too fast, too slow, or it can stop beating. Sudden cardiac arrest occurs when the heart develops an arrhythmia that causes it to stop beating. This is different than a heart attack, where the heart usually continues to beat but blood flow to the heart is blocked.
btw...I have been checking one thing, did you all know that low iron, generally means low red cells and can cause lots of not pleasant things to happen. maybe there are a lot of vitamin and mineral issues we should learn more about. I am off to get a book on this. have a great day.
I have a lot of trouble figuring out what is going wrong because my heart beats very rapidly and feels off...for 15-30 minutes at irregular times maybe twice a month, but never in front of a medical professional and often at bedtime ... which means I need to get dressed and dash over to the hospital five miles away...failing to get there in time for a professional to identify. So, now I am looking for an iphone app that will let me capture it so someone can tell me what this is. This didnt help
aaaaaaah!! I have the ventricular fibrillation, first it feels like it stops for a second then it starts to vibrate all of a sudden and then it feels like it stops for a second then starts to beat normal.... I am so dead... am off to see what's the treatment :'(
I think i'm going to die soon, if i take the wrong meds, get excited, or do strenuous physical activity its goes too fast, theres no rhythm at all, and some times it throws in a really slow hard beat.
I had an ablation a month ago and now I'm having skips an extra beats

Hey guys, if you really want to learn about arrhythmias and dysrhythmias, download the iPhone, iPod, iPad App "Arrhythmias" from the Apple Store.

Arrhythmias can be caused by mutations in ion channels, such as the Ryanodine Receptor. Have a look at youtube.com/watch?v=F6Kmz3-cZMo

@Animefunky Don't worry it's definatly not VF, if it was, you'd have died before you'd finished the sentence. You should still go see a doctor though

Somtimes I have this, then I eat some salt and it goes away. :D
Maybe it has somthing to do with not enough vitamins?...
My father had this his hole life and he always been able to run around, ride bikes, and play with his friends, so can I.
From what I read, this is pefectly safe, but is just a disconfort. :D
