3:27 SHE'S FRICKEN CRYING!! Im just watching and i feel like hyperventilating!! that needle ...omg....omg i dont think i could do this. my plastic surgeon said she would do it for me but i dont think i could handle this T___T!!
She is not "crying." No patient of mine has ever cried during injections otherwise I would stop and tell them not to undergo the injection. She has "reflex tearing." It is very different than actual crying. But regardless, there are lots of people who are afraid of needles and cannot tolerate any discomfort. If you are one of them, simply don't do the injection. Why torture yourself? Not worth it.
@knafa985 that's dental block anesthesia. Didn't you ever have it at the dentist? It hurts a lot but it's anesthesia, so I'm sure the lip injections after that were fine to handle.
Interesting. I wonder if you also need injections to have the naso-labial lines filled - if anesthetic injections are possible in that area at all - or if dermal fillers can be tolerated there without numbing.
Injection of the nasolabial folds is very tolerable without numbing. You can apply a thin layer of numbing gel an hour before (no more than an hour). But most patients dont require it. Holding an ice pack a few seconds before each injection makes the area temporarily numb as well.
Juvederm Ultra is only sold by Allergan and its "cost" alone is $242 per syringe and most Plastic Surgeons charge $500-$800 for it. I would not recommend buying something "online" and injecting it into your face!
@DrNaderi I love the way you did this. The way you demonstrated this in the video. I have to say, however, that that needle looks pretty nasty. Wow! :(
Thanks. It is a 27g 1.25inch needle. It is not that bad but many patients these days choose not to have a dental block prior to their lip augmentation injections since the Restylane-L and Juvederm Ultra XC both have 0.3% Lidocaine pre-mixed.

@NuclearBeauty1980s
Yes you can numb the nose with a combination of Lidocaine injection and Cocaine topical and do a rhinoplasty under local anesthesia.
