  • I really appreciate these videos. Very fun and helpful. As far as social bookmarking goes, should we be concerned about big bro snoopery? Isn't it a little like full access to what books we check out from the library?

  • nice video.eZdia is another social networking and bookmarking site with its unique feature of Knowledge Bucket. You may like to check eZdia if you have not done yet

  • well done old chap, this was very helpful

  • is there a way I can use this video as part of a graduate presentation I am doing on social bookmarking?

  • Nice work, I really like the video, but I m still not convinced social bookmarking sites are the solution

  • Is it me or is delicious so cluttered with random links that it's really tedious to find relevant info.

  • Use more tags, just as one would use more specific keywords on a search engine!

  • Yeah...and that's why it's cluttered. Because everyone uses their own "special tags" to tag everything for "special purposes".

  • This video was great. If you are looking to make money online and want low startup, great training and unbeatable pay plan.

  • Of course you can use the Bookmarks Toolbar to tag and submit a web page to hundreds of social bookmarking sites all at the same time with the touch of a single button. See my video response for info on this.

  • Well done. As a former teacher, I commend you for making the subject clear and understandable so that even a caveman could get it:) (With apologies to all cavemen everywhere).

  • firefox has better ways of bookmarking sites through folders on toolbar but it isnt social o and this was the newest version of firefox

  • Ok. Why the cut out of screen shots instead of actually using a computer screen to illustrate? Couldn't afford a computer? Also, why did the cut out of teachers look like police officers. Do they teach at a military academy?

    I'm kidding.

It was a great video. It was very educational, interesting and the best of all...fast! Kudos!!

  • The absence of a computer to handle the job is a creative and original way to make things easier and uncomplicated. And about the hats... Indeed, they do look like totalitarians searching up on Google sites about torture and intuitive ways of killing people Oõ

  • Just wondering what is Digg? Social Bookmarking or networking

  • Primarily it's a social bookmarking site but later on to maximize success, they added social networking features such as creating a profile, sending messages, adding friends, photos etc.

    Jackie Ulmer

  • As a social bookmarking website owner i find this video very informative. But it fails to mention the surge in traffic you get to your own website or blog by using social bookmarking sites. If done properly you can get more traffic than what the search engines send your way.

  • It's really nice to see someone who can combine so many different talents together -- you're explanations are clear and your videos are creative and entertaining.

    Keep up the good work!

  • This is GREAT! Your way of explaining is innovative and super efficient. This is the most beneficial video i've ever watched here (besides your RSS one:)

BTW, delicious is an AWESOME bookmarking service!, i just felt in love with it.

    Succes!.

  • The way you explaining it really makes the spread of this tool much faster. Thanks!

  • Cool. I have heard of delicious and seen bookmarking buttons on sites for it but didn't know what it was for until now.

    thx

  • Thanks for the insight. Your video made a lot of sense. well done

  • Nice presentation. great job

  • I used Delicious once to save bookmarks amongst 4 friends.

Before I knew it, Delicious was somehow attached to Feedburner and it went out to hundreds of people that had subscribed to my blog. I was pissed. I never gave it permission to do that!

    I canceled my account.

  • GOOGLE! nuf said

  • Thanks a lot for your explanation. It is just perfect. And above all thanks for sharing you knowledge with us

    Juan

  • Fantastic video. I did a search on social bookmarking and this came up near the top. Much easier and more entertaining than reading a few pages of text :)

    Thanks again!

  • I thought this was a joke, I just figured it out its not funny.

  • What a neat little video on social bookmarking.

  • great explanation of delicious

  • .<b>Good video, thanks for sharing!

  • Great! Another "in Plain English" clip--just amazing! You're really gifted to visualize and tell a good story. Thanks!

  • These are just great. There's something about blogs I never quite got (still don't). Trackbacks and permalinks. What do you do with these? Can you do a "plain english" on that?

  • I love these tutorials. They crack me up. I am using them in my upcoming web 2.0 class!! AWESOME!!

Now you just need a blogging in plain english!

  • Delicious was great for the time they came out. However, I have been teaching my students about Searchles. Searchles offer much more than social News or bookmarking - in particular their TV and grouping functionalities

  • Great, I love it. Well done. Could you guys make one on 'Blog(s) in Plain English'?

  • I browse through deliciouus all the time, but I might actually start using it now. By the way, I absolutely love the style of your videos, imitating a computer screen with paper.

  • Oh that shows how social bookmarks work. Thanks.

  • Thanks so much for your excellent videos. I plan to use this one and your others on rss and wikis in a course I teach on using the Internet in the classroom. I think your videos will be immensely helpful for students trying to grasp the concepts of these "new" applications.

  • i prefer firefox extention, foxmarks bookmarks. Try it.

  • Yes, but you have to be signed on. Do you not?

In fact this seems overly complicated for a simple folder process.

Yes, the 'social' side of sharing is nice, fantastic in fact. But if the 'other people' have no sense of organization of criteria, the will tag misappropriated content that will be less relevant and unregulated.

  • Thanks for posting this video.

  • What you think about: iloggo ??? Also social bookmarking service but more focused on YOU.

  • It's a kind a social directory! This is an other function of social bookmarking!

  • grand

  • Web browser addons?

    Bookmarking webpages online?

    Sounds like spyware and phishing.

  • Delicious has been around for awhile and it has been recomended by alot of technology blogs,I doubt that that kevin rose would approve of spyware.

  • I guess this is ok for disorganized people but those people probably wouldn't care to use this to begin with. You can just place your bookmarks in folders by topic, easy as that. If you share your tags/bookmarks with a bunch of people you'll also just end up with say, a couple hundred sites on any given topic? How does that make it easier to sort through?

  • Actually, folders don't work that well. The problem is that you can't place a bookmark in more than one folder at a time. Tags enable you to (essentially) place a bookmark in multiple folders at once. With folders, you have to continually ask "how did I file that?" With tags, it's in multiple places - and you're bound to remember a few at least.

  • Yeah, I can see that, but it's a pretty slight benefit to me. I use folders and never have trouble finding my bookmarks. Maybe if I had a few hundred bookmarks? But in that case you have more than you can use anyway.
