Far away? Wha?!?! I don't even get that one. The menubar is great, as it takes the file, edit, view, etc. buttons out of the the actual application and provides a cleaner interface.

Mouse acceleration? It's called System Preferences.

Lack of shortcuts? It's called the Dock and Stacks, and just like on Windows, you can put shortcuts on the desktop too.

Those are some of the most superficial reasons I have ever heard.

a) You have to travel to the top on Windows also, it's just on the other side... BTW, you can adjust the window size in the lower-right corner of the window on Mac OS X.

b) I have NEVER heard anyone I know who uses Mac OS X complain about mouse acceleration. It works fine. What are you talking about?

c) Shortcut keys? Mac OS X has plenty of those! Whenever you click a drop-down menu, almost all of the commands have a respective keyboard shortcut.
