Question/observation. Looking at the box, the negative images look like you sprayed the crisis suit bits on the sprue with army painter, then assembled them. Is that right?
good stuff, what Basecoat did you give the tau really liking the results on that. wasn't sure about the Imperial fist, but they really look the part once the shine is taken off.
Vid 3 UP when? hehe anxiously waiting...Dayum like I said Jawa...haters = number 1 fans....all those posting hate, saying they can do better blah blah blah, Please load up your vids so i can see if they're better....
honestly hate how they look i mean if you like them thats cool but imo its lazy and could be done better and also imperial fist being all dark and gritty wtf is that
@vizik3050 Ok, I give you 3 minutes. Do better... And... GO! Times ticking hot shot. Hmm, just what I thought. Of course it is lazy. I am painting models in the least amount of time possible because I have other models to paint. I say that several times during these videos. And dark and gritty? WTF is wrong with that? Man I wish some of you guys would consider what you are typing. These are armored soldiers spending every second of their time in war. Whats wrong with Dark and Gritty?
@jawaballs GAME AND MATCH to Jawaballs, i made my own washes and my blood angels look really dark and gritty and i love it. I touch up certain areas to maintain feel that they try to keep their kit clean but, as you said they spend all their time fighting.
I can understand people wanting to know how new products work..... But is there any chance you've found a use for these products for a more advanced level of painter.
You just5 commented on the traffic noise as I was thinking "Dude lives on a busy street!"- seriously though you are right on with the matte finish- layer up in layers!- learned that the hard way!
When using dips that use brown pigment in varnish any light colors will get toned down. A lot of times whites will look almost completely tan/khaki. Good for things like scrolls or parchments. You also need to be careful because anything that is tan/khaki ( like GW bleached bone) may end up looking very similar to the white with the brown pigmented dip on it.
@Madd0g95 Well those fists were a side project, but they look great! Demonic Yellow, white, and Army Painter Strong Tone and Anti Shine. Quick easy and nice results.
@haloister123 Not really, my club meets at the Salvation Army on Mondays. Comic Book Heaven is just small comic shop with a shelf of 40k stuff that lets us set up tables outside in the defunct mall. :)

Do you have to use army painter Matte Varnish, or would any Matte Varnish work?
offshorephill 1 year ago
@offshorephill Any matte varnish can have drasticly poor effects on your models. Army Painter is designed to minimize that chance.

@1984lastman I thought I said that a few times, Desert Yellow from Army Painter. It is perfect! :)
jawaballs 1 year ago
@jawaballs Must of missed it, thanks. Definitely going to try that out.
1984lastman 1 year ago
@jawaballs So you don't use a black undercoat before spraying the model with Desert Yellow? It's the quick shade that gives it the darkening?
xRuneMagicx 1 year ago
Question, do you fully build the models first, then paint or do you paint then build, or a mix?
whitetyger00 1 year ago
@whitetyger00 I assemble any thing that will not get in the way of painting.
