I think that it would be great to have the producers of "30 Days Of Night" and "Twilight" make a vampire film together. The best elements and characters from both films would be combined. Of course it would be a challenge for the screen writers, but if done well, this would be the Ultimate Vampire Movie !

OK, this movie wasn't scary at all, death scenes were predictable but the atmosphere, great acting made it look very respectable. I am going to go further than this video's maker and state that 30 Days Of Night is the best vampire film ever. The only one that compares is one from the 1980s I forgot the name and Nosferatu for the creepiness factor. This is the only vampire film that can actually scare a full grown man. So dark and brutal, and the overral feeling of hopelessness of the Humans whilst facing their certain demisse at the hands of a superior species is really horrifying.
It's not that this movie is bad or that vampires should be shown the same way, the reason vampires change per movie is to keep everyone interested in how or why that vamp is like that, or just to take different looks on that mythology, if every vampire movie were of scary vamps or ones only out for blood with no twist they would get boaring. I was a bit disapointed in this movie actually but all the top tens on youtube are saying it's up there now. I guess I'll have to watch it again, but yeah sortof a disapointment overal as a vampire movie. 100000000000 times better than twilight but that is setting an extremely low standard.

Malkavians are insane creautures, true, and did seem to be in connection with Lilitih and her demons of disease and pestilence, but just because they follow those of demonic desent do not mean they are as evil as the force they bestow their beliefs on. Malkavians are in basic terms your average psycho vampire, nothing too speacial or different about them from the old tales of silver and garlic as their weakness.

And it's always about some stupid humans trying to kill them. The thing I LOVE about Malkavians is that every Malkavian is completely different, they all suffer from different mental illnesses and they all act differently. There is nothing cliche about them.

I agree 100% that all Malkavians are different since they all are messed up in their heads differently than others, but, people are still going to look at them as vampires is what I'm saying. I am going to go further than this video's maker and state that 30 Days Of Night is the best vampire film ever. The only one that compares is one from the 1980s I forgot the name and Nosferatu for the creepiness factor. This is the only vampire film that can actually scare a full grown man. So dark and brutal, and the overral feeling of hopelessness of the Humans whilst facing their certain demisse at the hands of a superior species is really horrifying.

It's not that this movie is bad or that vampires should be shown the same way, the reason vampires change per movie is to keep everyone interested in how or why that vamp is like that, or just to take different looks on that mythology, if every vampire movie were of scary vamps or ones only out for blood with no twist they would get boaring. So people find their own beliefs about them and shit like that yeah, still this is a good movie

This movie is based on the graphic novel where the movie is %90 accurate from the graphic novel.
Plus, this is what Vampires should be. Dark, ruthless and bloodthirsty.
I'm pretty sure most people will agree with me on that at least.

this movie dissapointing, it wasnt scary at all, the character development was bad, and the ending sucked.. here is the whole movie, vampires go on a killing spree, walk around for 29 days, josh hartnet turns himself into a vampire, kills 1 vampire in 5 seconds, they all leave. josh hartnett dies.

well.. I'm not going to be as cruel as NYNraider.. But I didn't really find this one scary at all. It was predictable and hard to hear the vampires speak. And the little 'rampage scene' with the guy getting his head stepped on would've been better if he actually went on a bit of a killing spree first instead of doing nothing but getting his head squished! Vampire movies need more porn also :D

Those of you saying that the vampires were trying to increase their numbers: Didn't the leader specifically tell the other vampires NOT to "turn" any humans? I think they were just feeding/indulging.
I don't know where you're getting that they were the last of their kind, unless that was explained in the comic. The fact that they arrived on ship from who-knows-where does make me curious about their origins though.

and yea the story line is they are trying not to be extinct so they go there wheres theres 30 days of night <in the movie.. and try to save there race from dying out by feedin on the the humans so they turn into vampires. jus a like a zombie movie. they bite u . u become a zombie. but in this case its vampires tryin to stay alive. i rate this movie 10/10 cuz i love action and gore movies :D

This movie is absolute GARBAGE!!!!!!! Barrow goes for 63 days without a sunrise, yet the sun gets close enough to the horizon to lighten the sky. There's no sheriff there, planes fly there 365 days a year, population 4600, they don't all flee town in winter, they don't sell alcohol! Oh yea and I've never seen so many white people in Barrow! Worst movie of the decade.

people shouldn't be giving you minuses because dracula, the myth and real person started came from romania. i'm not romanian myself but i'm a big fan of vampires. anyway Vlad Tepes, known as Vlad the Impaler and Vlad Dracula, was the son of a man in the Order of the Dragon in Romania (not kidding either) anyway Drac is romanian for dragon, and Ul is the article, so Vlad was the son of "Dracul" (which was romanticized to Dracula) Dracula and vampires = romanian. don't believe me? look it up.
