Hi, I wonder, how did you get that clean guitar sound. Every time i try to record my guitar using your setings, the sound characteristic is similar, but lacks those clean highs and has much more bass (which i can't get rid of). Do you use some postprocessing (eq. and stuff)? Or how are your hi-pass/low-pass filters usualy set? Thanks very much for your reply.

PS. I record my guitar using my oem sound card, can it be the cause? Will for example M-AUDIO Fast Track MKII do the job if I buy one?

@JaraKeznikl when recording directly, the most important thing are bright strings, and pickups with good output....if you have neither, these plugins will expose the muddiness of your tone. this guy has emg pickups, which help since they are active. another good plugin to put before the amp sim is a good overdrive sim, with little drive but a bit more volume and tone, this will tighten up and eliminate any muddiness in tone

@PISS1311 plug ins tend to sound much better in a mix rather than solo. Add some aggressive drums and tight bass to thicken up the sound

@simonpvo2 Hey, there's no standalone version so it needs to run inside your DAW, you can monitor the sim as you play and record though.

what interface do you use? im asking because i can hear ur signal is very strong and fat, im using firewire solo and guitar input doesnt sound so good as yours, I am thinking now maybe mine is broken or something is wrong with my interface... can't get strong input signal....

this guitar is ok when I play with amp or combo, there must be something wrong with interface, but will try quadtracking and will see how it's gonna change my sound

@Coverguy88 Impulses are basically a "snapshot" of a mic'd cab that you can run in your recording software. I have a video on my channel on how to use them.

@Coverguy88 amp modelling is awesome u can get all your favourite guitar sounds and effects on your computer for free these days unless your playing at a large concert and want the real mackoy then its unessesary to buy an amp , just go to google look up guitarampmodeling theres a forum site that will provide u will all the info you need , and yes impulses are like he said, usually determines the thickness/depth of your sound.

@whodwellswithin Reaper comes with ReaVerb which will let you load impulses. Works better than anything i've used so far too.

(LAconvolver), place the file in the Application Support subfolder where your other plugins are installed and you should be able to use it then. It's a pretty old plugin but works for me using OS X Snow Leopard (with the latest updates installed)

@brwnie00 Than you brother, I downloaded and installed this plugin but something seems to be wrong when using it. Though it looks simple and easy to use the visual interface seems to have some kind of bug that doesn`t let me visualize the rest of the screen properly when looking for my impulses in any given folder.
