  • I think it's awesome that i found out about this guy from Dave

    Franco.

  • Musical savant.

  • This is the first I've seen of him, and I'm hooked! Wish I could have filmed the video, though.

  • A savant even? hahahaha what the hell?

  • delicious

  • <3

  • fag.

  • Sounds like Martin is hiding back there.

  • He reminds me of Demetri Martin on all of him instruments :)

  • It's a pity that 1/3 of the video is showing the part above his head and you cannot see what is he playing on guitar

  • @hramat THANK YOU! God I fucking HATE when people film things this way. It's not like anyone who doesn't play guitar wants to just see the performers face, just film their hold body...including their hands.

  • You don't master whistling without getting a degree in badassery too. Andrew Bird, I love you.

  • i have this song on my ipod and i go to sleep listening to music

when this song came on i was wide awake and then at the next song i just fell asleep again

  • he's like thom yorke meets chad vangaalen.

  • juelz santana featuring andrew bird - the whistle song

  • @cheeze0408 hahahahahahaha!

  • This song makes me cry of happiness

  • Probably the most underrated artist in the last 10 years. AB is a musical force.

  • The bowl of fire albums are incredible.

  • order the fingerlings [1, 2 and 3] from his website. all the songs are live and there are several songs on those albums that you won't find anywhere else. talk about amazing.

  • @logandc123 i know right?!!? i have 3. i got it from his show :) it's amazing!

  • Me desconcierta.

  • It's Armchair Apocrypha by the way.

  • he wasn't reading from any music

    now that's passion

  • he's so goodlooking

  • i really wanna see him, ra ra riot, & death cab on the 13th

too bad tickets were sold out super quick >.>

i will kill for a ticket...

  • Ugh, he deserves to tour with decent bands

  • i saw them :) in berkely

now, Bird & St. Vincent i'd kill to see!

    my 2 fav bands!

  • so dank

  • making natural talent look very easy

  • Talent exists, but I believe anyone can build just about any skill they want with passion and practice. Assigning talent too often becomes an excuse for why we don't do things.

  • Have you ever tried whistling on key?

    It's tough!

    I love this guy.

  • does he plays alone?

  • no, he plays with martin dosh, his drummer. dosh plays keyboards in the beginning of this song while playing drums. i know hes got a bassist, just not sure who

  • he also has loops that he plays in the background.

  • Most original music out there!

  • agreed...cant wait to see him live in jan...nyc

  • so much talent... cant... possibly.. be... surpassed in any way.....

  • I'm convinced he's a genius.

  • Me too. ;o)

  • @stratplayer96 i'm sorry, i meant to hit the up butoon, as you can see, i completely fail at technocological problems like pressing a button... haha!

thats cause he IS a genius :D

  • @stratplayer96 Not just a genius but a savant even.

  • i was there! yes!

  • This bloke. Every small element that makes up this song adds so much.

    It's well civil.

I have the album but I'm more partial to the live performances for him.

  • dude is really talented and an amazing performer

  • Andrew Bird is so amazing, definitely one of my favorite artists ever. Armchair Apocrypha is probably my favorite album.

  • I own only two of his CDs, the Mysterious Production of Eggs and Armchair Apocrypha, and I agree with you; Armchair Arachnophobia is definitely my favourite.

I still listen to both of them over and over again as if there were no tomorrow.

(I get a kick out of that arachnid thing... :)

  • Get Noble Beast. It was BLOW YOUR MIND

  • thats interesting because i like The Mysterious production of Eggs the best. But I should listen to Armchair Arachnophobia more...

I have I think 5 or 6 albums and Solder On is a really good one. I Like them all of course, he`s just that good.

  • The way he matches every glockenspiel pitch with his whistle massages my heart.

  • His whistling ability is unnatural. ha, damn.

  • Why does he change the way he sings the songs?

  • It's all about being in the moment. He probably gets bored of playing the same songs the same way over and over as well

  • Yeah, basically every artist does that live. Not necessarily for every performance, but most of the time. A lot of the cookie cutter bands don't cause they're extremely commercial. They produce music for money.

  • where was this exibition?Amoeba in SF?inside the store?

  • this actually gives me butterflies.

  • Excellent video! Got to see him at Amoeba also. He is amazing!

  • Really great video! Top notch!

  • fuck yea man i was there for that it was so amazing. haha

  • i was right there at his feet

    wow is this man talented

    andrew bird<3

  • oh my oh my oh my!

  • this is so amazing.

  • I have this entire concert taped too. I noticed there are a few people with this concert on here.

  • Holy shit.
