this is not a good idea since the build engine is far more advanced and have lots of more features than the original doom engine, id would rather try to remake the game in the darkplaces quake engine or even, if the community is big enough you should definitely try to update the engine, like the duke fans did with duke and eduke32

@DarkDemon677 yeah im aware of that issue, but i guess it aint too hard to convert the levels from blood into eduke32 updated build engine, then the hard work comes in to fix all weapons and oneliners so we can play as caleb and not duke, no offense duke is king, but he doesnt belong in calebs world :P

@zyriuz2 Well, it isn't that simple. The Blood BUILD version is quite a lot more advanced than the Duke Nukem version.

P.S: Caleb would OWN Duke. :P

@virtuasoft Yeah it's the PC version of Buttville. It was called "Use your head". I was only familiar with the Sega Genesis version which is why I didn't recognize it. A shame piaediting didn't let the solo play.

Interesting... So is this supposed to be a fan made sequel to Blood and Blood II as the name and the inclusion of a Blood II-like sniper rifle implies? It is a little odd to make a sequel to Blood II on an engine worse than LithTech and comparable to Build, but I'm sure it would still be fun. ;-) Any story-line ideas yet? Well, good luck remaking this, and GET BLOOD ENEMIES! :-D

I've played a mod that completely re-created Blood 1 on zdoom, with hi-resolution sprites, blood weapons, and just about all the levels.

The real key to this kind of thing is making new maps in the style of the original game. Ripping textures, and art is easy.

Level building is hard.
