As to how many years, it would depend on how much per day you practice in a given year.

How long did you study etiquette, before you mastered your introductions? LOL.

Let me tell you one thing: there are very very few tunes that DON'T become boring once you can play them nicely. So now you think: wow, that sounds so nice, I'd be very confident with myself if I could play that. But once you actually can play it, you'd find a new goal, and wouldn't care much for this anymore.

That is made by Gary Zimnicki in Michigan. Brazilian Rosewood and spruce. It is the best flattop I have ever played.
