What's funny is they're taking a show that's not a comedy and putting a laugh track to it. Someone did it to one of the Friday the 13th movies, too.

When you add a laugh track to it, it plays like a bad, predictable sitcom.

Translation? I used up all the suitable, sitcom style material from Merlotte's in this episode. I think.

I'm a little bit confused... I've always thought of True Blood as a bit of a comedy. I mean- yes, it's also serious, but most of these scenes (most in-general) always have strong comedic elements mixed in with the serious ones. At least that's the only way I can see it when I watch the show...

...and I like it this way.

If the show didn't have at least some kind of cheesy-ness to it, I also think that would keep me from watching it too!
