HP DV7 4 gig ram GeForce GT 320M 1GB 640 GB HDD Intel Core i5 processor 430M (2.26GHz,3MB L3 Cache) Windows 7 Home Premium but i cant play GTA4 with my one. even in low setting's. it get stucked !! i put all setting's to low ,(water, shadow's, distance,) screen resolution 800x600 , but it run like same, getting stucked for few minutes. even i cant drive a car .. plz help me ,,, wt should i do run this game smoother ?? plzzzzzzz

@gkasigex man idk why thats happening, you have installed lastest patches right? Maybe you could try getting a driver from nvidia or you could get a latest demo and see how that runs like mafia 2.

With Mafia 2 i play with textures high and shadows low and other things off and i get 20-30 fps.

On GTA IV i play with way different settings to this Textures are high, Shadows are high, water is medium and everything else medium. I get faster fps in interiors probably like 40 fps and outside i get 20

NEVER game with a laptop. Buy a tesktop. I'm getting the desktop version of the graphic card (GF GT 320) but with an i7-860 processor, 6 GB RAM and 1TB HDD. With that the graphic card will work for 100%.

installa la patch 1.0.5.0 (NON la 1.7 perchè va + rallentato!) e potrai fare il gioco con i massimi settaggi, in risoluzione 800*600 o 1024*768... questa patch l'ho scoperta da poco, infatti sto caricando un video di gta iv con il questo pc con i massimi settaggi (xò ti consiglio di overcloccare poco poco la scheda video)

i dont know how many fps i get, its probably either 20-30 or 30-40. it depends on what place im in, such as a safehouse its probably 50 fps or something and outside its probalby 30-40.

@TheScythed i no it does but if you want to play it and have already bought it and cant take it back, you have to play it like that but if you really want to play games on a laptop save up for a gaming laptop. my one was $1300, but i live in australia.

besides without the shadows, i mostly play it night :), barley any shadows there. Atleast the texture quailty is at high so its not all that bad.

But it will run perfect, the settings ive got it on, it will lag sometimes, but its playable.
