Basic Pole Spins and Transition Moves

Hi hun,

The poles ive seen range from 45mm (1.75") to 50mm (1.96")

i am very petite with small hands but i dont want to learn and practise on a pole that is too small or im afraid i will struggle on a pole that may be too big when i need to work in a club??? Or isnt there much difference in the two sizes??

Also i was thinking of lifting some weights on a daily basis to help strengthen my arm muscles before i buy the pole, do you think this will help?xx

Hi, just curious I been pole dancing for 11 weeks and seem to either get STUCK on the pole and my moves end up looking jerky and not fluid or alternatively I seem to slip and end up trying to not fall. I been using mighty grip but it seems to be TOO strong sometimes. Is there anything you could recommend at all?

I was wondering, with the slide at 1:36 how do you keep from sticking to the pole? I am assuming you slide down on the top of your shoulder as opposed to your back (my first mistake) but doesn't it tend to stick there as well? I just can't get it smooth.

I like the music, very slow and she is actually giving a great demonstation. I hate it when pole dancers post on youtube and don't slow it down. What's the point! But she is awesome and taught me some really great moves already.

I just got my pole 2 days ago!! && have been trying to learn spins on my own watching others, I got the fireman down (haha) I know thats the easiest one, but watching you do the second spin in the vid I think it might be called a reverse leg hook?? She has two poles because one is a static pole, and the other one is a spinning pole, despite that there are poles that have both functions.

Xpole- 45mm portable, PS- 2" Semi permanent one piece, and brass will be for a stage. Easier to teach lessons with at least 2 poles!
