The reason you see these guys playing alone is because no one can play along with a guitar sound so heavy on the bass. Just because they can chug all day long on an 8 string guitar doesn't mean you're a douche it means you wrote the book.

I can get nastier than that with my les paul drop tuned on my vintage marshall. seriously not impressed at all. Can anyone play a WHOLE song with a simple melody line and some complex chords? 4th and 5th are super old.

@xtreme8012 I've playing the "old" uberschall also, and to be perfectly honest, for metal the twin jet kills the original.

Its just a lot heavier, but also tighter.

But KT88s and el34s both put out completely different tones, so it depends on what you prefer

hey im thinking of getting a 7 string, good quality, preferably with emg's or seymour duncans, but i dont want to spend too much on it, I play mostly metal but a little bit of clean stuff (not too terribly worried about the clean tone though) can anyone give me suggestions? i was thinking an ibanez but im sure theres other ones better for cheaper

@alpengeist19 What is your price rage, I would recommend either an esp, ibanez, or a schecter to you, if you inbox me a price range I'll give you some good guitars to look at, I'm looking to buy an esp ltd v-307 (the cheapest 7 string v i've ever seen, with emgs :D), and i fell in love with 7 strings after i played an ibanez rga7 in a shop.

@Draceius i'd say 900 max. right now i have an esp ltd ex 360 so i rather diversify my collection. my friend has a schecter and from what ive played, i prefer my esp, but i havent tried a good ibanez yet

@alpengeist19 schecter damien elite 7, ibanez rga 7, some ltds. not much variation in that price range.. if you'd buy the rga7 you'd need new pickups aswell, the originals suck quite a lot of ass...

Yeah this is the twin jet.

I have one myself, and the clean channel actually is quite impressive. You might not get same cleans as say a JVM but that's not really what this amp is for.

This is a VERY heavy sounding beast
