Thank you for posting this! The first half is my favorite scripture and hymn. I've been teaching it to my kids. Your mash-up of the two songs is beautiful and folksy. Do you still have the sheet music? Could you scan it and email it to me if it isn't too much trouble?
Very, very well done. Thanks for the effort and your heart in wanting to share this with all of us out here. We had Psalm 37 at prayer group tonight and it has lots about waiting on the Lord :-)
Going through Chemo since late September I can attest to the truth of these scriptures.
He has given me much courage and strength both physically and spiritually. I was actually diagnosed in 1983 and was clean for 19 years after treatment and close follow up.
It came back six years ago and is said to be in three places but to look at me you would never know it. Praise the Lord. He keeps his promises. Thanks for the beautiful song
I'm so glad to hear you testify! God is not the author of disease, but He IS the Great Physician! I don't always understand all the whys and wherefores, but I believe the old saying, "If God brings you to it, He'll see you through it," no matter what the ultimate outcome in this life may be. This life is just a practice run for eternity anyway! If we can remain faithful here, we'll live eternally in the new earth without pain, sorrow, disease, or death. Praise God!
Thanks Jack... I know we see things a bit differently concerning our faith. I believe the Bible teaches eternal security and that i have a home in Heaven.
Jhn 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.
...for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
I can respect that. I'm not interested in debate either. The problem I have with the "eternal security" doctrine is that it's very closely related the the so-called "predestination" doctrine which teaches that God decided ahead of time who was going to be saved and who would be lost. As you know, I don't believe a person loses his power of choice once he enters into belief. Therefore, the ONLY one who can separate me from God is myself. Notice I didn't say I could separate myself from His love.
Thankyou Jack. I really enjoyed this video. It seems hard to wait upon the LORD sometimes, but HE always comes through for us! Bless you my friend.....Diane. 5*****
Thank you Jack. A very encouraging message right now. Hope you had an enjoyable holiday (do you have holidays at Easter in the US?). Loved the guitar work - as well as the singing, as always. Happy Sabbath (it is about to begin for us here in Western Australia).
Yes, we do celebrate Easter in the U.S., complete with the Easter bunny and egg hunts, etc. I prefer to call it Resurrection day, though, and I don't personally have a lot of use for the bunny and egg hunts.
Hope you're having a blessed Sabbath. Ours starts this evening. Our praise team sings and plays tomorrow for all three services!
That's the whole point of scripture songs! The best ones are the ones that stick in your head and you find yourself singing them without even trying to memorize them!
