7.30 onwards is a poweful explanation and explains a lot of musical careers. It must have been hard for Simon to say this.He is a very generous man and artist.
I wish Paul would make a dvd descriing every song he's written in this detail. My appreciation for Cool Cool River has multiplied exponentially. It would be no different for every song.
Wow! I just came upon this video.I am beginning to understand Paul Simon. I realized early on that he was a genius, but on this vid they got him to talk from his center. Wish I had known him. I appreciate the interviewer drawing him out.
@christinapossum To me, he's saying the couple are in disagreement, she makes the sign for a little bit, like the sign you give someone when directing them to use a teaspoons amount when cooking, he makes a sign thats its something bigger like a large wave, like they are arguing over how big of a deal something is. Just my perception of that line.
@UpsidedownCrayons, I know, I know...Thanks for responding. But I'm wondering if we have any video footage or interview in print when/where Paul talks about those exact lyrics?
I wachted all of the other videos and I have been waiting for him to mention Me and Julio Down By The School Yard! YaY!
