I like BMW specially M3 and M1 but some people told me that it doesn't last long.... Does anybody have any issue with the previous BMW M3's?

@YouKnowWho911 they're high maintenance cars. They can last long, as long as you service it and take care of it regularly, but it won't be cheap.

All I got out of this video is a bunch of Germans trying to justify the high price for the M3. Different brakes rotors...blah, blah, blah. At the end of the day, a chipped 335i will spank an M3 for half the price.

@EvenSteven2004 You're right, the 335i is a great car in its own right and damn quick, especially after a tune. But there is a reason for the M3's existence...Also the power bands of the engines and overall feel of the cars are totally different. And no, a 335i is not half the price of an M3.

@somendnguy - I'm not an M3 hater. I actually used to own an E46 M3. It was a nice car, but now they are overpriced and I don't think they are worth the money anymore. And besides, do you think only M3 fans are allowed to watch M3 videos on YouTube? Seriously? Open your mind and realize that all kinds of automotive enthusiasts typically watch videos on several different cars.

No that isn't what I think at all. I own a E92 M3 (probably a slight reason why I am being defensive, apologies) but if I had my way I would own a GT-R. I bought my M3 used last year, and considering the price I paid for my car with less than 20k miles and barely over a year old, I don't think there are a lot of cars that can beat it in terms of the overall package. If I didn't have to worry about needing a backseat, I would've gotten a Z06. Anyway, sorry for the ramblings.

@Droobyy bmw engineers are the test drivers . they engineer the car then do final tuning most company's have separate engineers and test drivers. so the test drivers have to try and explain what there feeling to the engineers. thats why bmw cars are so great

all the new m cars seem to be parts bin specials. that being said, long live the e90/2/3 m3, the e60/1 m5 and the e63/4 m6. the last of the naturally aspirated, truly bespoke m cars in my opinion, after they stopped hand building them of course.

They only have the best of the best do the work on the design, the engine, the M Power also comes from pure love for making the best car on the road. If they wanted to make a great car they would work for Mercedes, they want to make the Ultimate Driving Machine in the world so they work for BMW M Division. These guys have intelligence that most engineers don't even have a clue about. I've owned 4 BMW's. The last being a 2010 E90 M3.
