Robbie Basho has a unique musical feel that is at once delicate and virile, incorporating various significant cultural elements in a totally unselfconscious manner. The cover of the album is yet another aspect of his depth, and its symbols should be intelligently looked into before any mistaken judgment is made.
no no lol - i meant the physical cover of the album - the album artwork. I LOVE Basho.... in fact, I've begun to write a film and am using 'Bonn ist supreme' as the soundtrack.
oh right! It's just a random cover, I couldn't find the one for this album. I'd love to make a proper video for some stuff like this, but it's just finding the time. !
So I'll repeat what I wrote before: "A swastika on it's own is a different story." So seeing it within the symbol of Judaism is quite bothersome. I love Basho's music, but I think it was just off what he did.
You're not getting his point. Neither the swastika or the hexagram always represent Nazism and Judaism.. In fact for most of history they have represented other things. If you're going to write a movie with Basho as the soundtrack, be more open minded to these symbol's meanings in this context.
@mrnoiz23 Yeah, the hindu hexagram does. But if I remember correctly. Doesn't the hindu version of the "swastika" (symbol for circle of life) appear to be spinning in the opposite direction as Hitler's version? This appears to be Hitlers version, which is what I think people are noting?
My point exactly, Madame Blavatski used the swatstik and hexagram in the seal of the Theosophical Society in the 1800's. Just within the last couple of years a local church (built in 1914 BTW) paid to have all these symbols chiseled off, how stupid can you get.

It's really hard to pull off this major/monor stuff and make it sound good. It definitely takes more than one listen to get what this guy's doing.

That's an ancient sanscrit symbol used in it's traditional context, you like many others are being an asshole about it.

You fucking cunt - it's a swastika within a Jewish star. A swastika on it's own is a different story. Dumb fucking muppet.

The hexagram is an ancient hindu symbol far predating that use by centuries. You really are an idiot, learn some history.

@mrnoiz23 No need to hate plus thats not a hexagram.

@freakyteakyterrorist Actually it IS a hexagram and has been used in hindu culture for a very long time. It happens to also be the jewish star though
Adeptmind 5 months ago
@mrnoiz23 Looks more like a swastika inside a jewish star no?
Adeptmind 5 months ago
@Adeptmind Yes, this symbol exactly appears in occult books printed in the late 1800's.
