Haven't seen the new one and I'm going to hold bias as I love the old ones so much. But it's a lot like Heath Ledger being the new Joker, and the Jack Nicholson fans hating on him. You've got something you grew up with, and then there's something new that is strange and foreign to you. And I'll keep an open mind thanks to that, because in the end... I much prefer Ledger's Joker over Nicholson's. Even though I'm pretty sure I'll never like this Freddy as much thanks to the makeup they did.

But I don't understand why they made an other elmstreet movie because robert did a very great job as freddy krueger I have saw the new movie but it was lam.. they try to get something back that it's impossible Jackie Earle Haley will never be a freddy krueger.. but that's the problem in hollywood they don't have idea's anymore so they take great movies out of the box and try to remake.. it its so lam but great review ;).. but the movie was just boring.

@halo2master334 they've never released a part 1 child Jason in a plastic figure sadly, guess you could get one of the Mezco Scream grabs that has the girl in the boat and the Jason coming up from the water to pull her in...you never know, maybe Neca or Mezco might release a part 1 Jason someday along with a part 5 Roy and a Part 8 Jason...cross your fingers

Did they explain how Freddy got his clawed glove in the original movies?

I honestly can't remember. Because if they didn't, I'm pretty sure the remake will explain the glove and also the hat. I'm not sure if I like that. I just don't like the fact that these remakes are always trying to explain everything..
