This the devils music, you hear (hmmm, no surprise when a blues man has a little drink, but don't leave your wife with one of those holy rolling backwoods preachers, or those big city preachers as far as that goes). Have MERCY!
this is one of the best qualities of human development,if there are aliens out there, there is ive seen one, then they have to grock the beauty of human blues or theyre missing the point, I know you know what I mean.
because most Americans have their heads up their asses! and only listened to the crap put out by the corporations to make money. when the brits brought American blues back to America it made money for these assholes but the dumb public did not even know what they were hearing. it is so much different today with an educated public. yea right assholes all!
Tell me you people how come this song was exploited by a lot of white guys with a talent for ,
getting themselves into newspapers etc. I refer of course to the Rolling Stones. I challenge anyone to tell me how their version was better than this one. Raw emotion real feeling in other words the essence of the blues.
@june4783 The Stones worshipped the Wolf, so they did some of his stuff. Their version wasn't nearly as good, but it was a tribute to him, not 'exploitation'.
@TheAzmountaineer Thanks for the reply, I think we all agree on one thing, we like the music of people who went before Many people in the music business owe their reputation on being able to interpret the work of guys like Howlin Wolf, these original guys never enjoyed the fame or the money. Alas it was ever thus, Happy New Year to you
@TheAzmountaineer Acutally, it was the furthest thing from exploitation. Wolf got more royalties from one Stones record than all his put together. And people who'd never have known found out who Howling Wolf was.
Bought this 1965. I miss ya Chester and Hubert. RIP Thanks for what you gave us.
