Anyway... not everyone speaks correctly. Some have improper vocal technique even when they speak, so to tell people to "speak" the notes can cause a lot of damage on their vocal chords as they will just pull up in chest on the high notes.

Dudee.... Belting, what I'm being taught anyway, is carefully mixing your headvoice and your chestvoice (upper and lower registers, that is) as you go uo the scale for warmups... My belt sits at an F5.
