There are many different types of Samba, but this is the one that is used for International competition.

She was horrible. I think Dmitry was just getting frustrated with her and he's obviously a very disciplined dancer so he was just holding her to a certain standard. He's just very passionate and has a high standard for his performances and when she doesn't get something, he feels like he failed since in ballroom it's the guy's job to show off the girl. He's an amazing dancer and I think Joy had a great attitude and smile throughout this whole thing despite the whole thing.

This is definitely a samba, not a Brazilian samba, but definitely a ballroom samba, natural rolls, promenade runs, and all choreographed like an open routine in a ballroom competition. I've done a lot of the figures myself...
