This is such a cool toe-tapper that even the piano couldn't keep still! Kudos! A very enjoyable version of my all time favorite boogie woogie tune! Strictly from hipsville, daddy-o! Keep up the good work! :)
Very nice choice in electronic piano. That old Yamaha is an old classic. The organ sound on it is the meanest Hammond clone I've heard. I want one of them haha.
Damn fine effort! If you want to hear what I reckon is the definitive version, check out the (rare) album 'The Blues: A Real Summit Meeting', and check out Lloyd Glenn's version!
I don't formally know music or how to discuss it. BUT I KNOW when boogie/blues is excellent and it doesn't get any better than this stuff. Keep it up.
Thanks so much Buck, that left hand is the base for Chuck Berrys music, only on the guitar. Chuck stated that he noticed early that people loved Boogie, and so wove it into his style with a lot of help from Johnny Johnson at the piano in the band. Tears of Johnny Johnson who has left us.
Thanks. The piece is in G. On the 1 chord the LH plays DBG to DAC (on this chord the root note is the D below middle C). On the IV chord it plays GCE to GDF (on this chord the root note is the G 2 below Middle C). On the V chord it plays DF#AC to DF#AD (on this chord the root note is the D below middle C). Hope that explains it.
Thanks for your kind comments. You're right on both counts. It does give you a sore arm; unless practised regularly! I do have a better stand - but its used for gigs.
Nice! A good performance! And I like that left hand. The real, not simplified left hand. But I'm quite sure you had a sore left forearm before You got used to it, because it's tough on the muscles.
PS. Buy Yourself a better stand to your piano. A more stable stand that will not wiggle and therefore hamper your playing. You are definitely worth it!
Bravo!

Wish I could play keyboards! simply great. I like the motion of the piano, don't stabilize it! It gets you in the mood!
