  • at 4:30 when you were taking pictures thats the first DSHK, 12.7x108mm weapon system i have seen the SSA have in the videos well its probably a type54 weapon imported from china. Got to love norinco...

  • To Brooklyn Monk:

Don't let people talk you down, you're doing the right thing by letting people know what's going on with innocents being slaughtered.

To people who understand right and wrong:

To know a grave crime is being committed against the innocent and doing nothing about is also guilty of the same crime. Please don't judge others harshly for doing what they believe is right.

    Sincerely,

    Jason C.

  • sadly, many of the tribal people in burma dont enjoy being raped or killed, so i felt compeled to help. perhaps it is different in your country, but most shan people dont enjoy being murdered or raped. so please understand that some cultures are different.

  • This is the first time I feel proud that I can understand three languages at the same time!!! Thai, Shan and English!!!

  • Never mind, they're speaking Thai the whole time. Haha.

  • Isn't that Thai at 2:32?

  • damn, sounds a little like cantonese too.

  • sorry does this mean you support than shwe or just that you think the fight is hopeless?

  • Hmm. First off, they dont grow opium, they grow a type of poppy flower that they extract the resin from to make the opium. Second, holy third world!

  • are you joking? obviously they grow opium popies but they refine the opium right there in slave villages. why would you even bother to point out such a small and insignificant semantic difference? it doesnt change anyone's life that they are "growing" poppies but "refining" opium."

  • great video...

  • Redemption Song For Them

  • I pray for them every day.

  • GOD bless freedom fighters

  • well, i can only pray the day these freedom fighters will be shan army soldiers in an independent shanland and the rest of burma will be a democratic nation. keep up your good job, antonio, yawd serk!

  • i wonder why the shan and the descendents of the shan people not raise up together and overthrow the burmese government. i know war is bad but oh my god, look what they are doing to our brothers and sisters. iam thai and i feel enraged when i see stuff like this.

    bad burma bad!!

  • Burma is not bad but the military regime in Burma is stupid and bad of the bad, I can' find any word to name that Burma military regime. Saddam, Nazi are much more likely better than Burma military regime lead by General Than Shwe.

  • Because they will simply be wiped out by the military regime. What they do when they encounter militatnts and often civilians is the same thing, rape, pilige, plunder, loot, burn, blow up, shoot, steal and then massacre anyone who's left alive.

    Does that answer your question?

  • not really since the question was wondering why the other tai people dont help out the shan rather than what happens to the shan when they meet with burmese millitary.

probably didnt make sense to those who dont know about SE ethnic groups.

  • Prayers with you. Thank you for helping us discover what is going on in Burma today.

  • Very Good work. Antonio, take care. Do not do anything foolish and crazy...well, you're already there, so crazy is out.

    Peglove.

  • Antonio speaks REALLY GOOD Thai. I couldn't understand the first bit of Tai dialect during the speech at the end though.

  • well, It's not a surprise for me that you can't understand shan right away even if you are thai. since tai languages (shan, thai and lao)have developed and changed. I'm a shan and did not understand thai either when i first came to thailand.however, our language are so closed to each other that it's not too difficult to learn. I could speak and understand thai well within a month. Actually, shan language is closer to lao then thai.

  • daimongkham, you were rite

  • I have learned that some thai kings in the past especially Rama 4 and 5 had known so many languages in the region such as shan, burmese, mon and cambodia that they had changed some thai words.

  • wow.. Antonio speaks and understand Thai

  • Antonio, you are a true hero.

My thoughts and prayers for the Shan.
