So sockeye gets two turnovers overruled with little to no argument from the Venezuelan players. Then decide to cheese down the field for a point. Interesting.
@TheAziker Where is three steps rule from? It is not in the WFDF rules which I presume is what they were using. They just say slow down as quick as possible, no change of direction.
@aigarsa are you talking about the fast break? Or the throw for the score? If the fast break: you have 2 steps, without changing direction or speeding up, within which you can let go of the disc. Once you take your third step, you must establish a pivot foot before throwing. It appears to me that they maintain a constant speed in a constant direction (while holding the disc) and release it before their 3rd step each time.
@nrojb I assume the WFDF rules are in play in this game. According to this a travel occurs if the player fails to reduce speed as fast as possible, which in my opinion is the case in this situation (chapter 18.2.3). However the player is allowed to pass the disc on during the reduction of speed without establishing a pivot point (18.2.3.1). It doesn't state anything about a two step rule.
In my opinion it's a travel simply because the player fails to slow down.
@Faslovespi good point, I'm no authority on WFDF rules, only playing with them once at WUCC2010. Judging by your notation, I'd have to agree, travel. However, I'd hate to play with that rule, it runs counter to every fast break philosophy one learns in soccer and basketball, from which so much of our game is taken.
why do i have the feeling that sockeye didnt try

@nrojb thank's for the reply.
wasn't it before that you had to be slowing down before throwing thus showing that you are going to establish a pivot before the throw?
I have to check it out cause I think even this summer in EU we played according to the previous edition.

@aigarsa there was a rule for three points of contact in a continuous direction before establishing a pivot added in the 11th edition of the rules
