It is kinda free-roam, from what I've seen/heard you have a target objective and there are multiple paths. That you as a group/yourself get to choose, not to mention the director makes every play through different.

To address the trolls/flamers: suspend judgement until you play this game. It's very polished & addictive. Now, as fun as it is to start employing ALL CAPITAL LETTERS about how much a game "SUX)RZ" or "PWNAGZOREZ" when you've never had hands-on experience with it, Ima have to defect to the opinions of those that've played it.

This game has been put to a good amout of graphics amazing AI, it will force you too use teamwork (Help will a mic) and not only can you be human you can also be a badass zombie these zombie each have unique skills which actually involves no scripting and thats not and easy task. If you can see in the vid the zombies arnt slow there like the ones out of "28 Days Later"
