It kind of reminds me of this bizarre but interesting knock off toy I saw once. It was basically a set of Thomas the Tank Engine characters that could combine like a Super Sentai/Power Rangers robo.

I have this comic that this Optimus is in. I was dissapointed. I thought it was a futuristic version. I could only see the cover because the book was in a bag. It had an awesome looking ravage on the front and what I thought was The Fallen. I think its actually Starscream.
