It's like a (good) parent with a child. I mean, I don't always agree with or approve of my child's choices, but that doesn't take away the fact that she's mine, and I love her.
All people, whether gay or straight, are "broken," "damaged," and "in need of repair." God never teaches hatred toward gays just like Christ never showed nor taught hatred toward prostitutes, tax collectors, and the other "unclean." But the Bible does say that being gay is a sin. But so is drinking too much, eating too much, being legalistic... the list is never ending. (Sorry, but I'll need to finish this in another comment).
hi i'm gay and i loathe exodus international but taking their name as your youtube username is unconventional and a really poor tactic that i think should be beneath you but apparantly its not. which is sad for you.
So much for the Exodus International app on iTunes. Ha. See all you closet cases on adam4adam and remember a headless picture profile can't hide you. God already knows your TRUE desires.
@phasicTonic I'm a Christian and I accept him just as I accept myself as a lesbian. Fortunately I never had the idea that I could or should change how I was and didn't let my orientation affect my faith since I had strong faith and felt no real conviction that I had to change my feelings though it took a while to embrace them. The church people and exodus people who spew their lies are the same in spirit as those who murdered Jesus who he rebuked for putting religion before human lives.
Typical church people, no. You're right. But that's not how Christ was, and that's not what He taught. Unfortunately, too much of Christian society hasn't really been taught correctly, and that's causing Christ's message to be distorted and weakened. Jesus Christ taught to love all people, whether they're "sinners" or not. Because no one but Christ was perfect.
that Daniel is a great young man isn't it. wonderful to see the younger generation so on the ball with deconstructing and demystifying the 'ex-gay' message
