I don't think this song is about troubles...I think it's about struggling to remain fully committed to God in a world where we're constantly dragged down by sin and distraction, so we want God to "pull us out" of the world and back into that relationship with Him, that we're tired of the endless meaningless cycle.
this song isn't just about god pulling you out of places. its about running away from whats happening. sometimes, you might want to pull of places involving god. this does happen. and you probably wanted to run away from god too. Jonah in the bible runs from god. this is what this song is refering too.

I can't get my feet off of the ground - not on my own, God can lift me up though - He can pull me out. I have to keep reminding myself of that over and over and over. He always is there for me, especially when I need Him. What would I do without Him? I know You will be rescue, but tell me, how long will it take?
