@Feirce Superman works openly with the police department and I think in some comics he was made an official deputy of the Metropolis police force so he can legally arrest criminals.

Batman's only ally in the Gotham PD is Gordan. Officially Batman should be arrested as well but Gordan holds it off because Batman is basically the only who can handle wackjobs like the Joker and Two Face on a regular basis.

This is such bull. With Superman's ultra-human reaction time, super strength, refelxes etc - the guy can track bullets while they are in flight, and dodge them at will, not that he would have to get out of the way - was caught off guard by a judo throw from a HUMAN? Batman's fastest punch should look like a turtle crawling from Superman's perspective. Kent reacted but stood there shocked. Guess cuz Bruce is so bad ass, right? Kent should have at least stopped himself midflight.

Kent didn't stop himself because he doesn't need to. Hitting the ground didn't even mess up his hair. Not letting himself get thrown would make Batman dislocate his own arm, which wouldn't be very nice. He was probably surprised because the guy had the balls to even try that on someone who is famous for being essentially a living god, hence the "crazy vs stupid" line.

@jjj7790 Kent can move so fast that a bullet in flight would appear to be standing still compared to him. Batman would not have dislocated anything. Superman tackled him without injuring him, so it stands to reason that he could have reacted to Batman's attempt to throw him by shrugging Batman off w/o hurting him, then used the "crazy/stupid" line. "Look how much of a badass batman is." A cheap way of making him look all the more impressive because he's only human after all.

In canon Kent intentionally rolls with his opponents attacks to avoid injuring them. Newton's Laws and all that. By all outward appearances the blows connect as they would normally. Anything other than that would be confusing to animate and difficult to explain to viewers. Also it would defeat the purpose of a Superman&Batman crossover if it just constantly glorified the god-character. Everyone knows Kent can kick the crap out of Bruce. That's not an interesting story.

I don't want to get into a superman vs batman debate because that is stupid. If you want to argue anything Supes vs Bats, you have to include their philosophies. The fact that they're both allies and have a code of honor.

If a guy with Superman's powers fought a guy with Bat-skills, the superman would win in any situation.

also Superman's powers vary depending on the cominc books in some books he can move planets in others he can't in some works he can breathe in space while in others he needed a spacesuit

In the comics when batman and superman faught they were even because batman made a ring out of kryptonite so it made superman feel like a mortal. Superman may have brute strength but batman has a higher range of intelligence. thats why in this movie the joker kicked supermans ass with kryptonite. All those powers and yet he can be defeated by a green crystal. Thats why batman is superior cause all he has to do is use kryptonite which somehow is found anywhere in metropolis.

Seeing Batman toss Superman across the room was the coolest thing ever for me when I was a kid. Of course, Supes has the upper hand in brute strength and tackled Bats like nothing, but even so...

This is one of my all-time favorite scenes in the DCAU. Good times. The DCAU seriously needs to make a comeback.
