Just because you lead the league in steals doesn't mean you are a good defender, he does play the passing lanes well and it helps that he is quick. Not that he isn't but that statistic doesn't make you a superior defender. I would rather have a player who can't physically shut down players than come up with a two or three steals a game.

chris is a better shooter shown by their FG % deron .460 while paul is .490. paul has a better 3 pt shot and free throw as well.

Just because you lead the league in steals doesn't mean you are a good defender, he does play the passing lanes well and it helps that he is quick. Not that he isn't but that statistic doesn't make you a superior defender. I would rather have a player who can't physically shut down players than come up with a two or three steals a game.

for me it depends on who im playing. if im playing a bigger more physical team like boston id take deron. if im playing a quicker team that isnt too defensive focused and gets up and down like the phoenix suns or golden state id take cp3

DWILL hands down is the better PG. 70% of CP3's assists were lobs to Chandler and now he's gone. DWILL will lead the league in assists this year and the NBA will see who the PG in the league is. And head to head it isn't even close. DWILL dominates Paul every time they play.

Give me Deron Williams, although he's not as quick as Paul his speed is deceptive, he's bigger, a better shooter and a great on ball defender, he can stick bigger pg's and even 2 guards, other than that bum ankle he had at the beginning of the year, he's very durable, he run's one of the most complicated offense in basketball. Yeah I'll take Deron Williams

D-Will is stronger, has a better jumper, and he's clutch. CP3 is quicker, gets more steals, and quicker again lol. They both got great court vision. CP3 has the ball in his hands a lot and creates for others more. Deron stays in the middle of the floor and runs that offense like Utah teams always do. Paul has better stats cuz he has way more freedom and Deron kills Paul head to head, prob cuz he's a lot stronger than CP3. haha if i had to pick, i'd say u pick first, i'll take the other one.

you guys saying that d-will isnt a good team player is such bull crap. anyone who averages 10.7 assists per game is a team player. this video doesnt really show any of d-will's amazing passes. Plus d-will averages more assists per minute played which is better than apg. One more thing... d-will has the sickest crossover in the nba haha.

You can't go wrong either way. It just depends which one you'd prefer to have on your team. Now if you want someone who's bigger, Deron Williams is the way to go. Other than that, it's a toss up.

Deron is quick, smart and fast. While being stronger. He is just as good as Paul in everything except steals. Paul plays on a poor team. Which he has to do everything on the court to win. Deron doesn't need to worry about rebounds, points, steals as much as Paul.
