if you want to facetime someone with iphone, add him as contact with email, and when you tap his email, chose option "facetime", same goes to imessages.

I don't think its really worth comparing the speed of the 2 devices, because they're both almost the same, the 3gs is a brilliant alternative to the 4, but with a few knockdowns, hence a lower price.

its faster, coz when u press the home button on 3gs its closes the app, and iphone 4 minimizes it and goes to home screen and the app still is running. and still its faster on another app opening. where 3gs is running one app at a time.,

Yes, the screen on the iPhone 3GS looks dirty and grimy. Please make sure to take the screen protectors of the phones before doing a comparison video, it makes a big difference when comparing displays.
