who do they do these reviews for????? I LOVE the Yaris. I test drove the 2011 5 door liftback it was great i was shocked at the peppyness of the engine and the acceleration. I took it on the hwy and merged on with no problems comfortably doing 65-70... of course its a little loud but once you get on its fine its a great car and i find it to be quite spacious maybe thats me i am a little short but my dad whom is 5ft 10 fit in the backseat just fine... THE YARIS IS AWSOME!!!!! I will be getting it

does anyone know is cruise control is offered in sports package?...i bought sports package but didnt see cruise control... was told it is available as an add on option...your reply would be appreciated

The 2012s are out now, and cruise control is standard on the SE.

i got an 08, got it when it was brand new. 82,000 miles on it now and all i have done is oil changes tire rotations and air filters. thing is great. commute 64 miles round trip a day work and back and go threw roughly 30ish bucks a week in gas. I love it regardless of what some ppl think. and i have never had the tail slide out on me 1:35 no complaint for 12 grand car. ima drive it till it falls apart and then go buy me another yaris, love it.

I have a Vitz 1.0 Litre (Japanese import Yaris), not the 1.5 Ltr that you Americans get, and it's terrible. It's my first car and all that crap, but I hate it. I'll never buy a toyota when I get a car of my own. built cheaply, handles like a dog, and for fuck's sake don't get the automatic. it guzzles gas and hangs on gears. The car wasn't my choice. but I'm stuck with it.

@TsantenAnthony91 I am in the exact same situation my dad gave me a Yaris 1.5L with manual tranny and it sucks as well, made for women and old people. Here in Mexico we only have de 1.5L hatchback and sedan.

Every competition has redesigned their subcompact cars and even when Toyota comes up with the 3rd generation Yaris it will still struggle to gain back all the customers Toyota pissed off over the years with their recalls, poor quality and sub par service.

@davidhalifax but out off all the cars toyota recalled. the yaris was never one of them. Built 100% in japan. never had any of the recall issues the other toyotas had.

When I see these on the road, I think to myself "that driver hates cars, doesn't enjoy driving, and to them, a car is just a method of getting to point A to point B. Nothing wrong with that, but it seems like a dull way to live.

Toyota Yaris is considered one of the best in his class in Europe and the best for reliability and roomy interior, compared to other european rivals (fiat grande punto,opel corsa,ford fiesta).

I watched some lady die in one of these on the 57 fwy in Diamondbar. I think she was dead already before she smashed the hell out of it into the center devider. The reason for the simetrical design is so they can save some money. for all markets. Just becasue you dont have alot of money to spend you dont have to buy a yaris.

I think this is a cheap attempt at making a "affordable car". No features, no bluetooth, no frills, cheap cheap cheap....come on toyota...be like hyundai, sell a good product that gives bang for the buck...this car, is just buck

@davewhodavedunn WHile I agree, you have to remember the class of car this is. They need to keep the price down so you don't offer that stuff. I guess you could, but I don't even think the Corolla has it. I agree Toyota skimps on stuff a lot. Not as a good bang for your buck.

The symmetry might be due to making more parts the same for the left and right hand drive models in an attempt to reduce tooling costs.
