I must admit, I actually quite enjoy this game. I love cheesy B-movies that fall into the 'so bad they're good' category and this 'game' is essentially just that. Like all 'good' B-movies, this game has laughable acting, terrible songs, scantly clad teenage girls and stupid monsters. Good fun.

I always thought that extended look at the camera seemed really unusual and spooky. This game was sooo frustrating on the Mega CD because even if you were on time with code changes the traps still didn't work

There were at least four different versions of this game...Sega CD, Sega CD 32X, 3D0, and PC Windows CD-ROM. All had good video transfer. Over 1 1/2 hours of movie in 2 CDs.

Consider when this game was made... shit, the playstation was the most advanced system at the time, and they were still fiddling with Tekken. This is the most innovative games of all time. It got shit reviews because of horrible acting and a high difficulty level.

Did it suck? Sure it did. But it did it so completely spectacularly that it is one of the greatest games ever.

Umm...actually, this predates the PS1...just so you know. Night Trap was release in 1993, and the PS1 was released in the latter portion of 1995.
