Stupid Christians have a hard time with science. Christians deserve to work in factories and blue colar work while non-religious people think science is the way of discovery and exploration of our universe and should work in laboratories and do space travel. Science deniers need to learn science so that they won't be the same as a monkey, devoid of an understanding of science.
Why are monkeys not evolving right now? The only perfect well documented piece of human history is cast aside for the monkeys. Why? Because they refuse to believe there is a supreme being! They say there's just no proof of this. And they say that everything came out of nothing and exploded into something and that something just happened to produce everything. I have little faith in Christianity, but to believe evolution, I am required more faith! I would rather believe in the Father. He made me!
@BALEnaVICO: You're an idiot. Read a book on evolution before you go making such absurd, ridiculous claims. Good place to start: The Origin of Species. Then from there: The Greatest Show on Earth, R. @McTaggStar Evolution is not how things work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evolution is a theory, not fact!! Biblical records is not fable, its HISTORY! Stop confusing this generation with your imagination!!!!!!
@BALEnaVICO: Once again, you're an idiot. 1) Theory = fact in rigorous scientific language. Theory of Gravity = fact; Theory of Quantum Mechanics = fact; Theory of Continental Drift = fact; Theory of Evolution = fact. Learn the difference between a HYPOTHESIS and a THEORY. 2) The Bible is a bunch of here-say, some of which is backed archaeologically, but the vast majority is not. There is no evidence whatever for any theological claims in the Bible, and none for any geological claims made either
@BALEnaVICO: 3) "Evolution is not how things work!!!!!!!!!" Ha, so where did you receive your science training? Do you hold a degree in biology, geology, anthropology, psychology, neuroscience, philosophy? Have you even taken a college course in one of these areas? Have you ever read any published scientific literature on any research theme in any of these disciplines? Listen to me, there is no imagination involved in evolution. There is biochemical, fossil, and geological evidence that 100%
@McTaggStar Fuck you fuck-tard I am a second year journalist! You believe you came from monkeys? Get a fucking grip on reality shit face! Religious prophesies are fulfilling all around you mother fucker shit ass cock maggot! Evolutions main theorist Darwin made up the whole theory to rival Christianity!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the dumbest monkey in the world if you think Evolution should not be debated with God! Evolution is Satanic! You need an education! Your knowledge is too narrow!!!!! Cock face!
@BALEnaVICO: Ooooooooooooo you're in a second year program in JOURNALISM! Dun dun dun....
Once again, you're an idiot. You clearly have done absolutely no reading in biological science. And for someone hoping to make a career in writing, I would hope you could come up with something better than "cockface" and "cockmaggot". No, Darwin did not come up with evolution to "rival Christianity." I'm sorry that you don't like the idea that you're nothing more than a highly intelligent ape, but the
@BALEnaVICO: truth is not obliged to be pleasing to you. Take some biology as an elective in your journalism program. And get a writing tutor, I fear you're going to barely pass with a -C.
@404gatito how the fuck are we dumb for not believing in talking snakes and that a guy name Jonah lived inside a fucking fish for 3 days and that there was a world wide flood that covered mt. Everest how the fuck could a crusty ass old man fit 10 millions x2 because it's 2 of each making it 20 million fit that many animals on a ark and how the fuck do they breath at that thin atmosphere with barley any air aswell as the cold blooded animals at that temperature.you need to ask yourself
@buceroo the origin of the universe has nothing to do with evolution you honestly think just because science hasn't found the answer you should believe in a talking snake and that a guy lived inside a whale for 3 days what nonsense that false you piece of shit i recommend you look of the fossils of hominids from Lucy Australopithecus to hiedlebergensis all the way through many hominids in between that linked to us
@hmfreek what species of human where Adam and eve homo sapiens homo hablis homo eretus or hiedlebergensis what were they?better yet if we desecnded from adam where they white black or Indians we didn't come from monkeys we share a common ancestors with apes maybe you scared of the truth what your evidence a bible
@Buceroo21 sir you are also very funny. the video talks about evolution. evolution best explain how species could branch out to new species from AN ALREADY EXISTING SPECIES. there is no known theory JUST YET that explains clearly how life kickstarted. that will be in the realm of chemistry and biology and maybe physics. dont talk creation stuff in a video that talks about a process that happens AFTER LIFE ALREADY FORMED.
@Buceroo21 oh please, stop strawmaning. world came about from pre-exiting matherials. it is you who belive that world was created exla-nihlo. magic, pufff. god says and something is. pure friking magic. we on the other hand belive in that universe came to being from pre-exsiting matherials who need no creater bechose it is impossible to them not to exist. everything that exist exists without creation, creation is magic and impossible.
@404gatito Because our ancestors lived in trees, but then as a result of climate change, the forests began to decline. To cope, our ancestors moved from the trees to the ground. They had no use for their tail anymore so over time they lost it.
Humans then had their hands free to do other tasks, because they weren't grasping on tree branches anymore. This allowed them to make tools such as needles or harpoons. Humans began to hunt and the meat fueled their brain's development even further.
@404gatito Humans then began to create their own language which could make hunts even more successful by coordinating the group. And so on and so on.....and here we are today.
And by the way, humans aren't the only ones with their own language. Most animals communicate with each other. Have you ever heard a dog bark? that's their form of language. Sure, it doesn't sound like what we're used to, but it's still a method of communication.
@404gatito Just because you put an exclamation mark at the end of a statement doesn't make it true. We weren't the only ape species that evolved, there were many other bipedal species, that the Bible never mentions, that eventually went extinct. The neanderthals are one example. DNA has allowed us to trace back our lineage and determine that we too almost went extinct, down to about 70,000 people. So yes, we are the lucky ones.
@404gatito "Oh my God could scientist be any dumber? with so many dumb people like the scientists it seems like we're evolving backwards instead." If science wouldnt be able to fight against diseases, them u could have not write that message.
if science wouldnt be able to invent Computer them u could have not write that message.
science save ppl's life. science is evolving. science is great.
spoiler alert to the misguided masses; humans being have been on this earth for 18,000,000 years... the moon is older than the earth... and apes devolved from humans.
Think not that man is earth-born, though come from the earth he may be. Man is light-born spirit. But, without knowing, he can never be free. Darkness surrounds the light-born. Darkness fetters the Soul. Only the one who is seeking may ever hope to be free.
@Alkhemist10 apes are devolved from humans? try again... for one theres no such thing as "devolving" because such a thing would go against every law of natural selection, and apes were not derived from humans, its the other way around... maybe you should take a basic level biology course sometime...
@ericsyutubeaccount dude just stfu you have no clue what your talking about. devolution is real you fool, your so simple im not gonna even bother, but a basic level biology course dosnt give you all the facts. simpelton
@ericsyutubeaccount i can tell your one of those people who believe "scientists" have ALL the answers and are right about everything and theyre so almighty they give us 100% of the truth all the time.
@ericsyutubeaccount the theory that things can lose traits if they stop using them. its not "accepted" by modern evolutionists so it must not be true right?
@Alkhemist10 no... organisms have lost countless traits over time, thats one of the very basics of evolution, why do you think we arent fully covered in hair like our ancestors?
@ericsyutubeaccount so your saying, for a hypothetical example, that say the media fed us bullshit over years and years, and taught humans that thinking for themselves was a waste of time, that over generations humans wouldnt become dumber?
@Alkhemist10 i dont think you understood what i said, but even though this is an unrealistic scenario, lets run through it anyways... what do you think would happen to people who decided for some reason not to think for themselves, would they be more likely to survive and reproduce and pass on their traits, or would the people who think for themselves be?
i think a better example of a lost trait would be sharks going back to a cartilaginous skeleton due to the excessive weight of the shark
@ericsyutubeaccount well humans have mastered evolution, we no longer have to worry about natural selection, we pretty much control nature. a lot of people that would have been too dumb to survive in the past are able to live and spread their genes, spread their dumbness...watch the movie idiocracy, its possible
@Alkhemist10 thats not entirely true, all though natural selection does not take the same effect nor as full of an effect due to modern medicine, it still exists and always will, a man who is considered less dominant, to us meaning of low intelligence, not good looking, etc., is still less likely to find a mate than a more dominant male, i can give many examples of how we are still evolving
@slimithy12 because a single piece of dna doesnt evolve, nor do individual organisms... populations evolve
dna came from rna, which came from an assembly of proteins, which came from an assembly of amino acids, which came from arrangements of elements that form a nitrogeneous base, sugar, and phosphates
and im not quite what you are asking on that last question
@ericsyutubeaccount so if cells dont evolve then how did life get from a single cell into billions of human beings. also there is no evidence at all that proves dna came from rna. infact 1 of the men who first proposed the theory that life began by amino acids forming into proteins didnt even belive it himself. dna is the brain of the cell, so how does the body of the cell form before the brain? and my last question was, how did cells evolve?
@slimithy12 over the course of billions of years, i think a simpler way to put it is, cells begin to have adaptations that allow them to colonize, cells that colonize have a higher fitness and survive and pass these traits on, eventually cells begin to adapts things like mitochondria, which used to be a single cell organism
i think youre misunderstanding the role of dna, dna isnt really a brain, its just a map, i could go into how life is formed from a zygote but that would take way too long
@ericsyutubeaccount why is it that scientist always end up saying things like, " i could explain it but...." you either can or you cant. you can call dna a map, i can call it a brain but no matter what we both call it the question still is "how does something assemble itself and then create the assembling kit?" it's no different from asking "what came first, the chicken or the egg?"
@slimithy12 because youre asking me to explain a complicated process in less than 500 words, you can pm me if you want a more in depth response, and the egg came before the chicken
So can somebody please explain to me how anybody in this world can believe in a god if theres already 100% proof that we came from apes. Clearly in the bible it states that we were created by god as his first creation. No others. No apes, monkeys, nothing. He made us first than animals. So how the fuck could anybody believe in god if we already have this type of evidence. Wtf...? Lol
@MW2Addiction you can say God created Big bang and made the evolution happen. Thats why I believe in God but don't follow a certain religion. Something has to start off all this. I follow the rules of society, but take good/bad from all religions, since they were written by humans to put us in a decent path.
@stycoolyo Yea you can say that but thats unlikely. Cause the bible clearly states that god created us humans. He never created monkeys than this and that. Its obviously all a fairy tale. Im sorry but god is just a fantasy.
Scientists don't argue philosophy and philosophers please don't argue science...Its times like these I really wish they disabled comments on videos like this
The idea of our ancestors gradually evolving souls and gradually going into heaven doesn,t make any sense. The only reason we have consciousness and can think is because we have an organ called a brain. So with common sense in consideration what happens when we die and our brain decomposes?
@Noemro We didn't evolve from them, which is explained in the video. We evolved from a common ancestor. And since nothing is static, the common ancestor didn't die out, but evolved into four distinct species (probably more, but only 4 exist now, that is others died out)
Why did we evolve to the way we are today? Assuming the degree of evolutional progression within a species or subspecies will at most match the corresponding environmental change.
So what I honestly don't understand is why is there not more "animals" like us? That have discovered electricity, built tall structures, and in general have a better built brain, etc. I just don't get it, there are many different species similar to a rat, for example, but NONE even CLOSE to us, socially or technologically. And I somehow can't believe there ever will be. I can't believe that in a couple million years rats might turn into a species close to a human or something. Please explain..
@drummerfor9years First of all, intelligence and the ability to handle tools are our thing. We are not the fastest, largest, strongest, deadliest, numerous, or anything similar, but we are the most intelligent. Second, in our evolution we did have many cousins that might had in time become about as advanced as us, but they are now extinct, the most famous are Neanderthal. (cont)
@drummerfor9years (cont) You should also note that humans are a very young species, and the different races could in time have become different species, but that is at the moment halted as we now interconnect too much for that.
You are absolutely right when you say that rats won't turn to something closer to humans. Evolution does not work that way. Even if many like to think of it as a ladder with us at the top, we are simply one branch of millions, each equally equally evolved.
How they cuod say that we have 98% DNA in common with apes? Our DNA sequence in still unknow ! We do not understand hoax genes, we just started to understand that junk DNA in most important part od DNA!
@lachanonim Our DNA was mapped in the Human Genome Project, which was more or less completed in the year 2000. While we do got quite some gaps in our understanding of it, it is still possible too compare one genome with another to find the similarities and differences. Just like you can compare two versions of a text, even if you can't read the language they are written in.
But when it comes to junk DNA, it is like this: its length is very important, its context is not.
@greyman000 Year 2000 was a goal which they didn't achieve. Nevertheless they have done it untill now. The chempanzee DNA was read in 2006 (?). I heard about 98% similarity in 1988 so long befor they knew enought to compare. If You carefully compare all DNA sequance the similarity is only about 70-75%. And the most dissimilarity is in HOAX genes, the most important ones.
@lachanonim Right and wrong. The year 2000 was a preliminary overview released, even if it took a few more years to finish it. The research is not completely done yet. It is a huge difference if you compare the base pairs or if you compare condons or if you compare hole genes. It also varies dependent on how generous you are when it comes to junk DNA. Depending on the method of comparing you will get numbers as low as 70% to over 99% identical. Few makes these kinds of % comparisons anymore.
When you look to a rock and lok to watch in ground, you know the rocks its a simple object, but watch was projected, because have a objective and proposite.
The Earth and the human relations are evidences, the life have objective and proposite, the life was created.
No! 1:45 into this video we are looking at two skeltons. the one on the right is a chimpanzee. But the skull on the chimpanzee is not the skull of a chimpanzee! Can I please get a witness to agree? Thank you.
yea, i'm pretty sure the skeleton on the right is not one of a chimpanzee, it looks like one of a monkey and the skull is definitely human or artificial
You see a couple of seconds of close up at 1:39 - it looks like a young chimp skull but I'm not expert. From a distance it looks nothing like a chimp but I think thats just the angle and the lighting.
1:38 into this clip, Anthropologist Don Johanson stands between two skeletons and specifically tells us the one on his left is the skeleton of a chimpanzee. Outrageous!
That skull is NOT a chimpanzees skull. Can I please get a witness? Can I get an anthropologist to confirm this ridiculous mistake of not having the right prop at the designated time of filming?
And why does that human skull on his right look retarded?
The chimp's skull looks unusual because you are seeing it from the front, rather than from the (usual) side view. Look up some images on Google you will see the distinction.
MrE you are so off here. Unreal, its very hard for me not to flame you.
The earth is much more than 10,000 years old. Honestly, such an absurd statement to make.
The catholic church is a god damn joke. i was ready to be an atheist not too long ago, but then i started reading a book about the most remarkable man that >99% of our population hasn't heard of.
you should enlighten yourself and possibly start saving your soul by reading
This is such nonsense! Humans did not evolve from Apes! If we evolved, then sombody please tell me why monkeys and apes are still monkeys and apes and human beings are human beings?
All it requires is for one to put on their thinking cap! The simple truth is almighty God created everything in the universe, including the universe itself!
He created all human life, plant life, animal life, and every thing else that is created. He is the "First Cause" for everything!
Evolution doesnt state we evolved from monkeys or apes. However, we are close cousins. We evolved from neandrithals.
When do you think this mythical God created everything? It sure as hell wasnt 6,000 years ago because we wouldnt be able to see ANYTHING beyond 6,000 light years away.
While there are two positions: old earth & young earth, I think the evidence is overwhelming that we have a young earth that is between 5,000 & 10,000 years old!
God is written all over Creation, and He is the "First Cause" for everything that was created. In fact, the Bible gives us four ways that God has revealed Himself:
then how can you see the heart of the whirlpool which is 51 million light years away? It takes 51 million years for that light to reach us! When we look out in space and see something that is 51 million light years away, we are ACTUALLY looking at something that is 51 million years ago!
Um.. are you daft? It's not a hypothesis.. It's a law of physics.
If light travels at a certain speed, which has remained constant, at we judge the distance between various places by light years when dealing with space, which means that it takes light a year to reach that destination then 51 million light years is 51 million years that light must travel and since we only see through light, that means that we are seeing what happened 51 million years ago.
ONE WORD: SUN. The sun is a star, it can NOT be younger than 10000 years. It is in fact, about 5 billion years old. The science that OBSERVED this is the same science that is allowing you to sit behind a computer and use youtube. There you have it, the earth is older than 10,000 years
I'm not certain, but I think sapiens and neanderthalensis share a common ancestor in heidelbergensis c.800kya, then both come from ergaster back to australopithicus via Homo habilis

Actually Darwin put off publishing his theory for 20 years just to avoid the unpleasantness that he knew would follow. He hated fuss and was very private. Not his fault his theory just happens to prove the bible is a work of fiction!
Please don't spam! I found this same comment on many pages.
Probably should say familiar quote mining? In any event, said quotation is totally irrevelvant. This is because the theory of evolution is built upon 150 years of collected data organised into a coherent theory. Experimentation and investigation provide the backbone of the science, not any "revealed knowledge". So, is that really the best you can do? Please, bring your best, as I'd rather not waste my time with any more half-witted commentary.
This is a common mistake that those who do not understand the theory of evolution. "Common ancestor" and "Evolved from (monkeys)". It is quite good that this video clears up many of the misconceptions of evolution.
You actually have a very interesting point I hadn't considered when posting that. My name mate is strictly a gamers name I chose many many years ago that I thought looked 'pretty' I guess.
Interesting point I hadn't considered though, and nice amicable response.
The bible bashers will always try to argue totally unsubstantiated points against this simply because at the time the religious writing where written by men that did not know science would prove so many of the comments within biblical text wrong, so thus making modern believers feel they have to strongly oppose this because it is a threat to there belief system.
And yet no scientist can discover why people are the way they are or our emotions and our soul; what drives us... It's just all this DNA and Evolve Bullshit.
Our knowledge is limited and always growing, meaning many questions remain unanswered.
I'd take from your response though the positive effects of religion on many peoples morales and ethics are certainly beneficial, however unfortunately the exact opposite can also be said about the use of religion by some.
The soul is a concept that humans MADE UP in order to fool themselves into thinking there was life after death and hence calm their irrational fears about death. Fear of the natural world breeds irrationality. Religion is born from that very ignorance, especially when people know very little about the world around them and feel the only way to satisfy themselves is with irrational bullshit which helps them sleep at night and doesn't require them to think for themselves.
what questions? He had ONE and it didn't make a whole lot of sense either.
''And yet no scientist can discover why people are the way they are or our emotions and our soul''
This is the sound of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. As a question (of sorts) it is vague and general. It is lacking in insight and precise motive. ''are the way they are'' what the fuck is that supposed to mean? Specify please!
I'm all for the goodness believing in a god often points people towards due to its aim of controlling ones people, however I'd much prefer us continuing evolution by realising these writings are utter crap.
I can't for the life of me understand why theists can't understand this... but not only that, how come they don't see the beauty of it. I think it makes our position on earth far more precious than it would be if we were created and placede at the tope of the world. Our species worked its way to where it is now and can now take time to understand its world but not only that, it can help preserve its world. its like we are the bell boy who worked his way up to CEO.
I do not see any difference between a man from 2000 thousand years B.C. than a man today as we differ from monkeys as phisicaly. This evolution is a big lie ? It is not an explanation of creation.
You haven't done much research then. The average height and life expectancy of have increased greatly over the last 2000 years, altough this is due to modern hygene more than anything.
Humans in my opinion arent evolving in a successful way anymore. An essential part of evolution is natural selection. With health care, weapons, etc we essentially dont rely on our bodies anymore we use our brains and also foster people who would be lost in natural selection so really humans will start to become less fit physically as time passes.
I think we are simply evolving a symbiotic relationship with technology, this will be ongoing. We are already made up of millions of micro-organisms, we will just have to start appreciating that the dividing line between ourselves and the outside world is blurrier than we naturally assume.
The point of evolution is to better adapt to an environment for survival, but our brains are so enormous we don't need to evolve physically because we can adapt to our environments with innovations. We can make thick clothing to adapt to cold climates, we create technology to help use weather through heat and we're so far scientifically we can adapt to almost any extreme.
we are evolving. humans are smarter stronger then they were 100 years ago. look at society look at technology. we are evolving by every decade. in million years we will be even more advanced and more smarter. the human being only uses 10% of there brain. who knows how strong our brain really is.
pretty sure evidence for human evolution can be seen in the human body. For instance, organs that once had a use, like the appendix, no longer have any function for the human body. Also like the other replies say, most of the changes from now will likely be in our brain functions. Man I can't wait to get crazy mind powers...
we are evolving today, it's like stating grass doesn't grow... it does just at a rate so slow you wouldn't notice it. now imagine evolution is a million times slower
the evolution of humans just shows how adaptive we are at coping with our environment. this should not be mistaken for a lack of "belief in a god". it is much more "magical" that we are what we are based on current evidence. why cant certain people see this?
you know what i dont understand?how come people cant exept god made evolution?is that so rong?but if i were to bring up evolution in like a church group, everyone would look at me like i was some kind of satonest or something
Hey if it doesnt contradict the bible there should be no problem. The poeple that do have the problem are the ones who want to be like God who want glory and be looked up to for help. When we should be asking God.
so god 'made evolution' - what a genius. He also set all the laws of the universe at the beginning. What has been doing for the last 4.5 billion years? Resting?
We didn't evolve from apes, apes and humans share a common ancestry, that's why there are apes and humans right now. We can't produce fertile offspring with apes because we are two different species. Just for the hell of it, did you know that we are more similar to a chimp, than a chimp is to a gorilla.
That makes sense, good call. In fact that could be a great argument for evolution, but you would have to use the example of a triangle a hexigon and a circle. Because although the physical attributes (phenotypic effects) are more similar between the triangle and hexigon, the circle and the triangle are more technically (genetically) similar. Thanks.
@strangelover11 You choose to ignore/dismiss the evidence just like your friends at the Discovery Institute...

Naturall selection can do nothing untill favorable variations chance to occur.
Charles Darwin and the species of Cambrian about 530 milliions years like
star fish, jelly , trilobites emerged sudden no evolutions the eye of trilobites
like a fly , butterfly , and bee its proof that eyes did not evolved after evolutions

Why were humans the only ape specie that evolved?
Cause we weren't exactly like an ape we were just different??
So why were we so much different from other species??
Out alllllll the creature species out there humans were the lucky ones???
We learned how to talk and think better but no other creature did??
We did not evolve people!!!
404gatito 7 months ago
@404gatito Because our ancestors lived in trees, but then as a result of climate change, the forests began to decline. To cope, our ancestors moved from the trees to the ground. They had no use for their tail anymore so over time they lost it.
Humans then had their hands free to do other tasks, because they weren't grasping on tree branches anymore. This allowed them to make tools such as needles or harpoons. Humans began to hunt and the meat fueled their brain's development even further.
missnightfoxx 7 months ago
@404gatito Humans then began to create their own language which could make hunts even more successful by coordinating the group. And so on and so on.....and here we are today.
And by the way, humans aren't the only ones with their own language. Most animals communicate with each other. Have you ever heard a dog bark? that's their form of language. Sure, it doesn't sound like what we're used to, but it's still a method of communication.
missnightfoxx 7 months ago
@404gatito Just because you put an exclamation mark at the end of a statement doesn't make it true. We weren't the only ape species that evolved, there were many other bipedal species, that the Bible never mentions, that eventually went extinct. The neanderthals are one example. DNA has allowed us to trace back our lineage and determine that we too almost went extinct, down to about 70,000 people. So yes, we are the lucky ones.
zee24 6 months ago
Unlike ANY animals babies out there. For many baby animals out there it only takes them a couple of hours before they take their first step.
And after they take their first step they already know how to feed on their own.
Kmon people I don't think that we are that especial for mother nature to be the only ones to evolve.
404gatito 7 months ago
Oh my God could scientist be any dumber? with so many dumb people like the scientists it seems like we're evolving backwards instead.
A simple fact why evolution is just a myth and not a fact is our babies.
Just look at our babies compared to ANY animal out there including monkeys, chimps and all that.
It takes our babies several months just to be able to crawl.
It takes our babies about a year just to be able to walk.

spoiler alert to the misguided masses; humans being have been on this earth for 18,000,000 years... the moon is older than the earth... and apes devolved from humans.
Think not that man is earth-born, though come from the earth he may be. Man is light-born spirit. But, without knowing, he can never be free. Darkness surrounds the light-born. Darkness fetters the Soul. Only the one who is seeking may ever hope to be free.
Alkhemist10 9 months ago
@Alkhemist10 apes are devolved from humans? try again... for one theres no such thing as "devolving" because such a thing would go against every law of natural selection, and apes were not derived from humans, its the other way around... maybe you should take a basic level biology course sometime...
ericsyutubeaccount 9 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount dude just stfu you have no clue what your talking about. devolution is real you fool, your so simple im not gonna even bother, but a basic level biology course dosnt give you all the facts. simpelton

Alkhemist10 9 months ago
@Alkhemist10 thats fine and dandy, now please explain to me the mechanism of "devolution"
ericsyutubeaccount 9 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount the theory that things can lose traits if they stop using them. its not "accepted" by modern evolutionists so it must not be true right?
Alkhemist10 9 months ago
@Alkhemist10 no... organisms have lost countless traits over time, thats one of the very basics of evolution, why do you think we arent fully covered in hair like our ancestors?
ericsyutubeaccount 9 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount so your saying, for a hypothetical example, that say the media fed us bullshit over years and years, and taught humans that thinking for themselves was a waste of time, that over generations humans wouldnt become dumber?
Alkhemist10 9 months ago
@Alkhemist10 i dont think you understood what i said, but even though this is an unrealistic scenario, lets run through it anyways... what do you think would happen to people who decided for some reason not to think for themselves, would they be more likely to survive and reproduce and pass on their traits, or would the people who think for themselves be?
i think a better example of a lost trait would be sharks going back to a cartilaginous skeleton due to the excessive weight of the shark
ericsyutubeaccount 9 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount well humans have mastered evolution, we no longer have to worry about natural selection, we pretty much control nature. a lot of people that would have been too dumb to survive in the past are able to live and spread their genes, spread their dumbness...watch the movie idiocracy, its possible
Alkhemist10 9 months ago
@Alkhemist10 thats not entirely true, all though natural selection does not take the same effect nor as full of an effect due to modern medicine, it still exists and always will, a man who is considered less dominant, to us meaning of low intelligence, not good looking, etc., is still less likely to find a mate than a more dominant male, i can give many examples of how we are still evolving
ericsyutubeaccount 9 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount how comes dna isnt evolving? what did dna evolve from? how can natural selection exist on a cellular level?
slimithy12 8 months ago
@slimithy12 because a single piece of dna doesnt evolve, nor do individual organisms... populations evolve
dna came from rna, which came from an assembly of proteins, which came from an assembly of amino acids, which came from arrangements of elements that form a nitrogeneous base, sugar, and phosphates
and im not quite what you are asking on that last question
ericsyutubeaccount 8 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount so if cells dont evolve then how did life get from a single cell into billions of human beings. also there is no evidence at all that proves dna came from rna. infact 1 of the men who first proposed the theory that life began by amino acids forming into proteins didnt even belive it himself. dna is the brain of the cell, so how does the body of the cell form before the brain? and my last question was, how did cells evolve?
slimithy12 8 months ago
@slimithy12 over the course of billions of years, i think a simpler way to put it is, cells begin to have adaptations that allow them to colonize, cells that colonize have a higher fitness and survive and pass these traits on, eventually cells begin to adapts things like mitochondria, which used to be a single cell organism
i think youre misunderstanding the role of dna, dna isnt really a brain, its just a map, i could go into how life is formed from a zygote but that would take way too long
ericsyutubeaccount 8 months ago
@ericsyutubeaccount why is it that scientist always end up saying things like, " i could explain it but...." you either can or you cant. you can call dna a map, i can call it a brain but no matter what we both call it the question still is "how does something assemble itself and then create the assembling kit?" it's no different from asking "what came first, the chicken or the egg?"
slimithy12 8 months ago
@slimithy12 because youre asking me to explain a complicated process in less than 500 words, you can pm me if you want a more in depth response, and the egg came before the chicken
ericsyutubeaccount 8 months ago
So can somebody please explain to me how anybody in this world can believe in a god if theres already 100% proof that we came from apes. Clearly in the bible it states that we were created by god as his first creation. No others. No apes, monkeys, nothing. He made us first than animals. So how the fuck could anybody believe in god if we already have this type of evidence. Wtf...? Lol
MW2Addiction 10 months ago
@MW2Addiction you can say God created Big bang and made the evolution happen. Thats why I believe in God but don't follow a certain religion. Something has to start off all this. I follow the rules of society, but take good/bad from all religions, since they were written by humans to put us in a decent path.
stycoolyo 9 months ago
@stycoolyo Yea you can say that but thats unlikely. Cause the bible clearly states that god created us humans. He never created monkeys than this and that. Its obviously all a fairy tale. Im sorry but god is just a fantasy.

Please explain..
drummerfor9years 1 year ago
@drummerfor9years First of all, intelligence and the ability to handle tools are our thing. We are not the fastest, largest, strongest, deadliest, numerous, or anything similar, but we are the most intelligent. Second, in our evolution we did have many cousins that might had in time become about as advanced as us, but they are now extinct, the most famous are Neanderthal. (cont)
greyman000 1 year ago
@drummerfor9years (cont) You should also note that humans are a very young species, and the different races could in time have become different species, but that is at the moment halted as we now interconnect too much for that.
You are absolutely right when you say that rats won't turn to something closer to humans. Evolution does not work that way. Even if many like to think of it as a ladder with us at the top, we are simply one branch of millions, each equally equally evolved.
greyman000 1 year ago
How they cuod say that we have 98% DNA in common with apes? Our DNA sequence in still unknow ! We do not understand hoax genes, we just started to understand that junk DNA in most important part od DNA!
lachanonim 1 year ago
@lachanonim Our DNA was mapped in the Human Genome Project, which was more or less completed in the year 2000. While we do got quite some gaps in our understanding of it, it is still possible too compare one genome with another to find the similarities and differences. Just like you can compare two versions of a text, even if you can't read the language they are written in.
But when it comes to junk DNA, it is like this: its length is very important, its context is not.
greyman000 1 year ago
@greyman000 Year 2000 was a goal which they didn't achieve. Nevertheless they have done it untill now. The chempanzee DNA was read in 2006 (?). I heard about 98% similarity in 1988 so long befor they knew enought to compare. If You carefully compare all DNA sequance the similarity is only about 70-75%. And the most dissimilarity is in HOAX genes, the most important ones.
lachanonim 1 year ago
@lachanonim Right and wrong. The year 2000 was a preliminary overview released, even if it took a few more years to finish it. The research is not completely done yet. It is a huge difference if you compare the base pairs or if you compare condons or if you compare hole genes. It also varies dependent on how generous you are when it comes to junk DNA. Depending on the method of comparing you will get numbers as low as 70% to over 99% identical. Few makes these kinds of % comparisons anymore.

Evolution doesnt state we evolved from monkeys or apes. However, we are close cousins. We evolved from neandrithals.

You can easily see God if you really want to.

then how can you see the heart of the whirlpool which is 51 million light years away? It takes 51 million years for that light to reach us! When we look out in space and see something that is 51 million light years away, we are ACTUALLY looking at something that is 51 million years ago!

If light travels at a certain speed, which has remained constant, at we judge the distance between various places by light years when dealing with space, which means that it takes light a year to reach that destination then 51 million light years is 51 million years that light must travel and since we only see through light, that means that we are seeing what happened 51 million years ago.

I'd take from your response though the positive effects of religion on many peoples morales and ethics are certainly beneficial, however unfortunately the exact opposite can also be said about the use of religion by some.
devoidsoul 3 years ago
The soul is a concept that humans MADE UP in order to fool themselves into thinking there was life after death and hence calm their irrational fears about death. Fear of the natural world breeds irrationality. Religion is born from that very ignorance, especially when people know very little about the world around them and feel the only way to satisfy themselves is with irrational bullshit which helps them sleep at night and doesn't require them to think for themselves.

This is the sound of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. As a question (of sorts) it is vague and general. It is lacking in insight and precise motive. ''are the way they are'' what the fuck is that supposed to mean? Specify please!

I knows it's two months, but "1 sided vid"? Fact IS one sided, you can't have two contradictory facts, it is literally impossible.

Our species worked its way to where it is now and can now take time to understand its world but not only that, it can help preserve its world. its like we are the bell boy who worked his way up to CEO.
imabeastnimadawg 3 years ago
Because they don't want to understand it.

now if evolution said everything else evoled besides humans I bet it wouldnt be a problem for creationist
BahamasIllestMC 3 years ago
it takes millions of years to evolve..wont take a few thousand years..at least i wouldnt think for a human species
timboak 3 years ago
I do not see any difference between a man from 2000 thousand years B.C. than a man today as we differ from monkeys as phisicaly. This evolution is a big lie ? It is not an explanation of creation.
malikaram 4 years ago
2000 years isn't very long at all. We're talking about millions of years. and if there is a difference it probably isn't observable.
AClssicRkr 4 years ago
Yes, 2000 years is pretty insignificant in the evolutionary time scales, you may say you can't notice much difference between yourself and your dad.
jamesstephenbrown 4 years ago
You haven't done much research then. The average height and life expectancy of have increased greatly over the last 2000 years, altough this is due to modern hygene more than anything.

Humans in my opinion arent evolving in a successful way anymore. An essential part of evolution is natural selection. With health care, weapons, etc we essentially dont rely on our bodies anymore we use our brains and also foster people who would be lost in natural selection so really humans will start to become less fit physically as time passes.
boorens18 4 years ago
I think we are simply evolving a symbiotic relationship with technology, this will be ongoing. We are already made up of millions of micro-organisms, we will just have to start appreciating that the dividing line between ourselves and the outside world is blurrier than we naturally assume.
jamesstephenbrown 4 years ago
i got a question if we did evolve why arnt we evolving today? wouldnt it keep going its been over millions of years am i wrong?
i dont understand how this works?
and how did this all start?
starlogic99 4 years ago
The point of evolution is to better adapt to an environment for survival, but our brains are so enormous we don't need to evolve physically because we can adapt to our environments with innovations. We can make thick clothing to adapt to cold climates, we create technology to help use weather through heat and we're so far scientifically we can adapt to almost any extreme.

sovietgunpoint6 That makes alot of sense..Thanks for posting, that explains alot. Your comment was very well put together

we are evolving. humans are smarter stronger then they were 100 years ago. look at society look at technology. we are evolving by every decade. in million years we will be even more advanced and more smarter. the human being only uses 10% of there brain. who knows how strong our brain really is.
JOESGONNAKILLY0U 4 years ago
pretty sure evidence for human evolution can be seen in the human body. For instance, organs that once had a use, like the appendix, no longer have any function for the human body. Also like the other replies say, most of the changes from now will likely be in our brain functions. Man I can't wait to get crazy mind powers...
kratos976 4 years ago
we are evolving today, it's like stating grass doesn't grow... it does just at a rate so slow you wouldn't notice it. now imagine evolution is a million times slower
originalfrank1 2 years ago
the evolution of humans just shows how adaptive we are at coping with our environment. this should not be mistaken for a lack of "belief in a god". it is much more "magical" that we are what we are based on current evidence. why cant certain people see this?
numnums21 4 years ago
you know what i dont understand?how come people cant exept god made evolution?is that so rong?but if i were to bring up evolution in like a church group, everyone would look at me like i was some kind of satonest or something
joedude927 4 years ago
Hey if it doesnt contradict the bible there should be no problem. The poeple that do have the problem are the ones who want to be like God who want glory and be looked up to for help. When we should be asking God.
keeder1 4 years ago
so god 'made evolution' - what a genius. He also set all the laws of the universe at the beginning. What has been doing for the last 4.5 billion years? Resting?
AussieClayton1975 4 years ago 3
Because it doesn't say it in the bible..It says God made a man drop from the sky..LoL

sorry bro. God made man out of the dust of the earth.

if we came from apes why cant we produce offspring with apes. Or in another apes with a similiar breed chimpazees and gorilla or orangatang.
keeder1 4 years ago
We didn't evolve from apes, apes and humans share a common ancestry, that's why there are apes and humans right now. We can't produce fertile offspring with apes because we are two different species. Just for the hell of it, did you know that we are more similar to a chimp, than a chimp is to a gorilla.
SaiyanVes 4 years ago 2
did you know a square is more similiar to a triangle, than a triangle is to a circle.
keeder1 4 years ago
what does that hve to do with anything?
joedude927 4 years ago
i just took a big poop. i looked at it and it was long. what do u think about that? i tell u what....IT FELT GOOD!!!!
numnums21 4 years ago
I feel like I just walked in at the wrong point in a private conversation.
jamesstephenbrown 4 years ago
That makes sense, good call. In fact that could be a great argument for evolution, but you would have to use the example of a triangle a hexigon and a circle. Because although the physical attributes (phenotypic effects) are more similar between the triangle and hexigon, the circle and the triangle are more technically (genetically) similar. Thanks.
jamesstephenbrown 4 years ago
It's true, people. Whoever said this comment is a negative one is an idiot.

they said we have a (commmon ancestor) not that we came from the current apes
