Hi just wondering if i could run it at full resolution on my single gtx560 ti with 1gb of memory. The graphics card says it can handle 2560x1600. what connections are on the monitor. My card has a hdmi connection and dual-link DVI-I connections.
Hi, I just ordered one from overclockers today, your review gave me that extra 'yes' go for it ... Did you get any noticable bad pixels or dust behind the glass, I believe at least there may be a chance of dust be hind the glass from the manufacturer. how was yours? best wishes, neil.
sometimes they have special offers on and i was luck enough to check at the right time. check the web site every wed. thats when the midweek offers start.
@bboymassUK Hey mate I'm looking at this monitor as an upgrade. As I'm also purchasing from Overclockers UK they have two models, one is Glass and the other Non-Glass. which model is this?
@Jackaldom My screen is the Glass version. I went with Glass becuase it provides an extra bit of sharpnes. If your not sitting with a window behind you, go for it. it's actually 50 notes cheaper too.
@Jackaldom hI, I just bought the none glass version and it is very glossy and DOES NOT have a matte coating. There would be NO difference between this and the glass version as the contrast in colours etc is amazing and the glass provides no real benefit. Plus there may well be dust trapped behind the glass that cannot be removed :(. So it's up to you but it would be a vote for NONE GLASS for me! Best of luck!
@Cubi2k11 Look at the hideous grain on anti-glare matte coatings. It depends on the environment you're using it in. Glossy panels get a bad rap from people who don't know any better and like to follow the mainstream or just can't see past their own bias. Nothing wrong with preferring matte. But that doesn't make gloss crap. Personally I feel a lot of it comes from genuinely crap glossy laptop displays.
Is the lag on the HZ27WD really that noticeable? I'm trying to decide if to get the WC or the WD primarily for photo and video editing and web design. I have 3 22" BenQ 1080p LED monitors for my gaming rig, so if I like the Hazro enough I may buy another and go from a 3 screen setup to 1 too!
im planning on getting this in dec. currently im playing on a 42inch hdtv which is rubbish cos you cant really increase resolution with out getting evil black boarders or the image not fitting the screen. so i need to treat my self in buying a PC monitor and i saw this bad boy on overclockers. so i need to buy lol
What was making you want to sell it, problems with glare or gaming? I love the look of this and for the price is a steal, but does the glass cause problems with gaming? Cheers
Mat, i dont know mate. I chose the glass because of easy cleaning and it makes the picture look sharper. I was going to sell it, but im now saving for 2 more.
I want a screen for hobby-photo-works, I got a Samsung T260, which is totally crap for photo. Is this screen good a try? I read alot but everything was gaming and movie-watching focused.
i also am a member of overclockers and im torn between the HZ27WA and the u2711 as are a lot of other people on there lol but this video looks amazing i own the g 15 keyboard and also have been debating weather i need the g 19 i do now lmao it also looks amazing in the video
@bboymassUK Thanks for this review, decided to get this over the dell ultrasharp 27"
Will be a nice upgrade from my free asda's unbranded television from 2004 which I am currently using :D
My only concern is, do the colours look real? I am hoping to use it for graphics settings and am worried if the monitor is calibrated for games as opposed to realism
@RhysMFG tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/hazro_hz27wa.htm reviews the current 3 models in detail. If you do srgb you will be fine. if you doe adobergb or any more sufisticated colorspace you are screwed... as always...
@bboymassUK playing at 2560x1440 means you will never need to use AA so a single 580 or 6970 is more than enough. i play at 1920x1200 with a single 580 and its overkill even with AA.
@bboymassUK I've just gotten same monitor as you. running 2560x1440, with one single 560-Ti (i Am getting a 2nd one later) but so far it runs fine! Sc2, 60 fps. Fear 3, 60 fps. ... and so on! crysis one though.. only 40 fps :p
I'd like to say that i also love this monitor. been using it just for a few hours though. but its really amazing! Clearly a lot better color than my old 120hz 2233RZ from samsung(which is also an ok screen) Worth EVERY penny! :D
I'm really tempted by this monitor, and I'd be buying it when upgrading as well which is fine. But I worry that towards the end of my upgrade cycle (say in 18-24 months) that I'd be struggling to play the latest games due to the resolution. I suppose I've got my 20" TFT just in case that happens.
Ok, this is a pointless comment, I'm just rambling to myself now.
How much for the three dell monitors, pm me price plz asap, regarding the setup, love it, would love to see two more in eyefinity, keyboard looks nice aswell!
one other thing. just looked on the overclockers site and glass model is now £540 :(

Great looking screen, especially for the price. Glossy IPS displays seem to look nicer than anything else. Too bad we can't have these in the States.

im so tempted to buy 2 more for eyefinity with a HD7690.

the colors are great the price too but look at 4:57 then you will see that glossy panels are crap.

how do u find the glossy screen, does it hurt your eyes?
DEEJAYSKARA 3 months ago
Hazro has NO lag as far as im concerned.
Going from 3 screens did my head in after a bout 2 weeks, which is why I'm back with 3xbenqs.
Hazro is very, very good for the money and If I had the room,3xGPU and cash I would be rocking 3 x Hazro.
End Of.

no mate.
2x560 in sli would handle 2560x1440 res.
just lower the aa because of the lack of video mem.
if your 560 has 750M mem, turn off aa.
if you have the 1g version, your get away with a low aa count.
should be fine dude, but dont get blaming me if you dont.
lol

So you think this is better then then 3 24"monitors? I'm guessing i would have trouble playing games on this with 2 560ti'sin sli?

you still see jaggies at 2560x1440 so your wrong about not needing aa.
dont forget to subscribe.
bboymassUK 8 months ago
2560x1440 will require a beefy card to run, but a single hd6970 or gtx580 will be fine.
if your running dx11, then your need sli or crossfire to handle the load.
dx9 should be fine on a sinhle card.
i used to run 5870x1080 dx9 games on a single 5870 eyefinity6 card and it was sweet.
go and buy dude, your be amazed.
