my next controller is vci 400.... its love at the 1st sight!!! using vci 300 mk 1 now,...still love it but the 400 hundreds is the shit for me... nice vid by the way (Y)
men I would love this unit if it only worked with itch... because of the video plugin^^ the twitch has no jog wheels and the ns6 and ns7 are a lot bigger than this^^ also the built quality is better and its much more durable than the traktor s4... plus you can put an innofader in without any problems. mhm^^ daaaamn.
@beatzandwheels Well, it does now work with Serato DJ Intro...it remains to be seen whether Intro will recieve Video capability. My guess would be that Vestax and Serato are working on Itch compatibility - they'd be crazy not to make it happen.
To answer your question - I would buy the VCI400 over two CDJ350's simply because you an do so much more with the VCI400 + your DVS of choice than with 2 x CDJ350's and a mixer.
@funkateer17 Hey man, yeah, that's me. And no, I didn't get paid or get any reimbursements for the demo. I did it because I believe in the the product. When it comes to DJ'ing my philosophy is that DJ worth their salt should be able to rock it on any equipment.
And just for completeness, I'm a Product clinician and demo guy for NI in South East Asia so I'm certainly not brand-loyal, and I'm the Marketing Manager at Store DJ so it's my job to know how these things work.
Yea I fig I wouldn't spend money on this, and after the mistreatment on the vci 300 waiting for like 3 years for a simple update when they joined w serato..nope not again vestax will you get my money. Don't get me wrong I still dj w mines but coming from 300 to 400 Im not impressed. I do like the strong build and effects are good if your a house dj,..are those plates smaller???
Hey this controller does not work proper with win7 - even latest drivers and firmware update will not give you realtime feeling in traktor pro2. I've got lenovo win7 64bit, corei5, 8gb ram = 5ms and u got cliks in sound with many fxs. Im not happy. Apple pro laptop is very expensive and it is the only solution at the moment - shame.
@djkuyaayukjd Hey man, sorry - I've been flat out workin' on new stuff. To answer your question - yes, I'd buy a VCI400 over two CDJ350's - you can do so much more with the VCI400 + Software than you could ever do with a couple of CDJ350's.
@vicdoc01 Pretty solid. With Traktor you'll have to tweak the settings a bit to your taste and of course, you and change the feel of the VCI400's jogwheels too.
@justfrank Hey Frank. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it was a bit messy. But man, when this kicks in on a huge club system and the crowd's there, all hell breaks loose.

@djkuyaayukjd Hey, are you the Kuya who used to enter battles back in the '90s? If so, I take it you're being paid to use that contraption? LOL!!!

@djkuyaayukjd Hey, I'm a big collector of old original DJ battles. Do you have any rare stuff you'd be interested in selling?

@blackistheword7 The jog wheels are the same size as those on the VCI 300 and 100.
It definitely is well made, and the feel of those filter knobs is smooth as silk - better than the Kontrol S4 or on the DJM800/900.

how is the scratching compared to itch controllers or to the s4
vicdoc01 2 months ago
@vicdoc01 Personally I like the action on the S4/S2 better, but in my opinion the VCI-400 jogs are right up there.
As for accuracy, it's really down to your software settings.
