  • Ok, first off, let the real hellraiser people do the movies, im a long time hellraiser fan and hate all this crap u just showed me, if ur not getting the real cenobites in the movie, or if u dont put in Pinhead, this movie will fail, u need clive barker u need all the original cenobites, and good actors to make a hellraiser movie, i hope this is some form of joke, if not, just quite while u have a chance

  • Then don't watch the film, but don't think I'll stop because you didn't like it. :) And btw, "longtime HR fan", all 4 of the cenobites are "real" cenobites from the films. Butterball was from HR1, Angelique from HR4, Bound from HR5 and Spike from HR7. I hope YOUR comment is some form of joke, because 18-yr olds who sit on their ass and snipe rather than doing a film of their own, don't carry much weight with me, so quit while you have a chance.

  • P.S. A quick YouTube search for "Hellraiser Prophecy" and "Clive Barker" will show you where he stands... And I'm pretty his opinion carries more weight than yours does.

  • hmmm...why they wont make pinhead that pinhead is the main monster in the true hellraiser...

    but the monsters are nice...

  • so, this is only a college project or are they any serious about this?

  • This was an earnest attempt at a fan film by a group of biology students/professionals. We had limited means and no experience, but we did what we could (so don't expect a studio production by film professionals). :)

  • ru kiddin me no pinhead! I am also doing a remake of the new testament but im going to leave out all that jesus crap

  • I'm guessing from your ignorant response that you haven't read any of the stories in Clive Barker's HELLRAISER comic series... You know, the ones that expand the mythology to other cenobites beyond Pinhead?

  • lol this is a home movie that looks awsom. but australia suckz. i have only seen up to hellraiser 3. i dont get it , i have tryed ordering in dvds and downloading and even asking every shop that sells some form of dvd. if enybody can tell me where i can get hellraiser bloodline and the rest of the movies i will love you for ever.

  • yea ill take some chicken fried rice with some egg rolls

  • Nice. Gotta love racism. :) Judging from your ridiculous profile picture, I guess it's the white gangsta mime thing to do these days... :) Enjoy your egg rolls while you're cruisin' through the hood, genius.

  • what a loser this xbelwarx is. dude, if you're going to type garbage, just keep it in your channel. Btw, nice mime 'war' facepaint...

  • keep up the good work dont listen to idiots I work in the movie industry we just finished terminator 4 or t salvation good directors were not born overnight so keep pushing ahead

  • The reason Hellraiser went to shit with the sequels, is because Pinhead was the focal point. In the first 2 films, Pinhead is part of the bigger picture, and not the picture itself.

Hellraiser and Hellbound are the only 2 films that I consider to be "Hellraiser". The rest is a bunch of unoriginal, storyless, CGI trash. Useless shock value is the substitute for good plot and originality.

  • Dude, Hellraiser five is actually good. Not exactly like the first and second, but it's still damn good.

  • yeah i agree, altho i think part 1,2,4 and 5 are the best ones, the others i didnt like that much.

  • Inferno is ace man, Pinhead returns as a Judge of Hell rather than the stupid bad guy. Though the storyline was basically a take on Jacob's Ladder. Plus it had those unbelievably sexy twins in it ;)

  • this is bullshit!!!! No PINHEAD!!! U Fuckin Crazy go watch all the hellraiser movies and tell me who runs this shit.... PinHead Bitches!!!!

  • Nice seeing pl getting creative like this Kudos to you all. Is there anywhere where I can get a hold of the movie?

Been a hardcore fan of hellraiser sinse day1 (yes I'm old ;) )this fan movie makes me curious.

  • Very excellent. How well did this go?

  • WTF is this???

  • You spent an hour leaving eight prior asinine comments about this. You probably figured out "WTF" this is an hour ago. For a movie that you felt was a waste of your time, you sure spent a lot of time typing about it and apparently checking out the making of it... :) As to rubbish, since you've done absolutely nothing, no matter how amateur our first film attempt was, I clearly DO have more to be proud of than the nothing you've done.

  • hhehehe u rock dude...btw..love the movie!! now...bye...gotta kill some ppl \m/(-_-)\m/

  • talented kids:)

this is for the people who didnt like it

if u dont like why u didnt make it better

  • I think all the work that you show here is incredible and admirable.

    but!!!

Why not shoot in a more proffesional looking format?

    HDV is too expensive?

Well, there are Mini Dv Cameras like the Panasonic AGVX - 100A or AGVX 100B, that have cinelook features and 24 frames per second shooting mode.

    Congrats non the less.

    Hat's off to you all.

  • Cheers! Because this was our first attempt at anything, budget and experience were definitely an issue... I didn't learn about 24p until after I had completed HRP... Suffice it to say our follow-up film project will be far better... Cheers!

  • I think they did a decent job , for it being low budget , fan film.. Especially on the makeup and costumes ..

  • I'm glad the classics came back in later films.

    "Angelique" could work.

Chatterteeth is a favorite cenobite, next to Pinhead, of mine, but he would be difficult to do on a low budget. I think the classics cult horror films were low budget.

The movies are usually medieval morality stories with a new look. People have forbidden desires and they get their come-uppins. Would this be too much like "The Prophecy?" It would need more cowbell if The Prophecy's version of Gabriel comes back.

  • dude that was so good i love it =] fuck all of you ppl thats saying bad shit to this vids like to see any of you make a vid like that

  • Of all the comments here, only 3 are about DTO. Most others are about HRP or sequels in general. 1) HRP was a no-experience, no-budget fan film done for the love of the material, shared for free. If you didn't like it, that's fine. Then this Making-of should be of even less interest to you. 2) If you can do better, please do. That would be awesome. Me? I did the best I could. If you don't like it, don't watch it! We'll try to do better. Our efforts shouldn't affect your lives in any way. :)

  • Interesting... Not only do I NOT recall comparing our writing to Mr. Barker's, as you suggest, I think it's also interesting that you held our little fan work in such low regard yet still watched our Making-of... :) If it really was such a waste of your time, one wonders why you were curious as to how we made it... :) But keep trashing us, if it makes you feel better. :)

  • Its funny Im not the only one who feels this way about your film. Guess I made a valid point. You should make a movie on how not to make a movie, thats something Id watch.

  • ...then why are you still coming back to this film? If it's such a waste of your time, why come back and keep on commenting? I'm not saying everyone has to like it, they don't. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to defend because the loudest, most vocal minority declare that their views must be the majority. Have you not read the 100+ comments on HRP? But seriously, if it's so damn bad, why keep coming back to this video 4 months after trashing it?

  • ...and by the way, since you're the one who hasn't made any movies, it seems to me that you'd be in a better position to tell me how not to make one. In that enterprise, you've clearly succeeded admirably.

  • Load of fucking shite once Barker stopped writing them! Nothing more than amateur writers thinking they can write like the master creators of the original film! They sit there talking about what they've wrote like they've wrote a masterpiece! What they've wrote is nothing more than complete bullshit, and fans go to the cinema, knowing full well the previous sequels were shit, in the hope that this one turns out good! Do yourself a vafour and stay the fuck away once movies exceed parts 1 & 2!

  • So, if it comes down to telling more stories for free that thoughtfully approach the series, or not telling a story in fear of disappointing closed-minded people like you, I'd choose the former. By the way, you should look up the definition of "genre" and the spelling of "sequel.

  • I was never trying to bash your movie or directing skills at all but I hate the fact that you felt so compelled to add on to a string of movies that had already been shit all over. The first two were great. People need to leave the series alone now. Heres a short list of good movies that people like you take and make terrible sequels to. A Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday The 13th 1-4, Alien 1&2, Dawn and Day Of The Dead, The Exorcist, Puppet Master and yes of course Hellraiser

  • But this is for comments about DTO or HRP specifically, not about your general hatred of sequels. If you decided that you'd hate this before even watching it, why did you waste your time viewing it and then commenting on how you feel it's a waste of time?

  • For someone who claims to be such a fan of Clive Barker, I'm reasonably certain that he'd object to your use of "gayer" as a derogatory term, since he himself is gay. Also, maybe you should watch Part 4 of this film, where Clive Barker himself was gracious enough to appear on camera and give his support to the creation of fan films.

  • Just watched part 4 and well what can I say, You spoke to him yourself. As long as you got his approvel theres nothing else I can say but you heard it too he said "theres so many of them" Im sure that means like one mores gonna make differnce. I guess Im done ranting on like a drunk metapausel mother with a hemroid on her ass. Send feedback Id love to hear what you have to say.

  • Actually, I agree with Undacheese. I think that your idea and inspiration for making a new Hellraiser film was awesome, and the fact that you had the kind of friends to back such a project is enviable. But without the proper funds and backing, you're not going to do the series justice and will just make a budget filler that ruins the overall feel of a TRUE hellraiser film.

  • That's a reasonable point of view. But given the options, I'm still glad that we went forward despite a lack of budget, rather than not telling the story at all... But we're all in agreement, proper funding (and experience) could have made this is a much stronger film. As to "ruining the feel," well, that's up to each viewer; we couldn't account for everyone, we just did the best we could... Cheers!

  • I guess all Im trying to say is leave a genre of films to the director who created them. Clive Barker is always trying to bring his novels to film but hes costanley hitting bumps in the road with the production companys due to people making ridiclous seaquels to his movies.

  • Hellraiser is one of my favorite movies of all time. Everything that came out after the first two was just garbage. With your movie adding to that pile of garbage. Im so tired of people taking works of art and making seaquel after seaquel. Its like a turd rolling down hill getting bigger as it nears the bottom. Taking a good original idea, make gay seaquel, make an even gayer seaquel and then just bending over and taking a shit all over Clive Barkers best work.

  • I don't see the logic in what you say. Why can't he make a fan fic. The most important thing is he made a movie...doesn't have to be his best as long as its not his last. He has a good start to making a movie. Where's the harm do you think he's really stopping another director from making a movie? Enjoy

  • For those interested, the official DVD is now available. It contains the HELLRAISER: PROPHECY film and the DEMONS TO OTHERS documentary. The DVD includes trailers, image gallery, alternate takes, gag reel, screening history, filmmaker bios, two commentary tracks, and subtitles in six languages, as well as additional interview footage with Doug Bradley, Gary Tunnicliffe, Simon Bamford and Kari Wuhrer. More information is available at the DVD link on the official website.

  • why do you use a clapper board??????????Nice try guys but the directing lets it down.

  • Why? Because it was our first movie, and we were having fun, that's why. :) We were originally going to use it to synch footage between the two cameras that were recording two angles simultaneously, but we ended up not needing it... We stopped using the clapboard about halfway through shooting. The clapboard intro here is one of the very first things we filmed.

  • The costumes were great!

  • Great, looking forward to seeing the finished film.

  • The finished film is available on YouTube as well... :D You can search for HELLRAISER: PROPHECY. Cheers!
